Major electrical issues with vehicle unknown and hidden at time of purchase didn’t know you had to have a shop go through wiring harnesses before purchasing a vehicle. I currently have 34 code in the system for electric communication errors through multiple modules. This past Saturday I had to take the bed off and missed work because the fuel pump couldn’t communicate. Out a couple thousand in the past few weeks and more to come with the existential amount of repairs needed almost immediately after ownership. This is beyond ridiculous. Reached out the Saturday regarding the fuel, electrical issues gene at 4 wheels stated all vehicles are sold as is and told me to “let him know how things turn out” Haven’t owned the vehicle 3 weeks. Owner of this 4 wheels of fox lake will really stick it to you. Steer clear of this place

You're always taking a risk when you buy a car long distance. I live in Minnesota but found what looked like a good price on the model of car I wanted at 4 Wheels Fox Lake during an internet search. I contacted Nick via their website, and we got to texting, then talking on the phone. I asked him to send me the Carfax on the car, and he sent it right away, no charge, no hassle. Then I asked him if we could do a video call so I could take the car for a "virtual test drive". Nick isn't the most computer tech-savvy guy I know, but he did great! He used his cell phone to show me everything on the car that I asked about, which really put me at ease. He showed me the cracked windshield, but said he would have it replaced if we could make a deal. He was quite honest and forthcoming about the car's condition. It had over 150k miles after all. We worked out a deal that I thought was fair, so I booked a train ride from Saint Paul to Fox Lake. Arriving at their lot on a Saturday morning, Nick greeted me warmly, and handed me the key fob so I could take an actual test drive before we did the transaction. The car was beautiful and just as he described it. He introduced me to his father, Gino. Truly a family operation, with lots of history, including framed newspaper ads from the 1960s on the walls. The transaction was seamless and smooth. Now our gorgeous blue Volt is safely back in Minnesota and we are very happy with it. Thanks Nick!

Just recently purchased a 2009 Honda CRV from here. The staff, both Gino and Nick, were very polite and professional with me. They didn't treat me like I was just a customer, I didn't feel like I was just a sale to them. They talked me through multiple different cars I was looking at, had patience with me, and in my opinion and from what I can tell were completely honest with me. The windshield had a chip in it that they replaced free of charge, as well as new brake pads and rotors free of charge. They gave me a good deal, below bluebook, and I left happy with my purchase. I plan on keeping this car for a while but when the time comes to replace it, this is the first place I'll be going to look for a new car.

Nick and Dave were great to work with! They were open and honest while helping us find the right vehicle. Once we were dialed in on “the one”, they allowed us to take the vehicle for an extended test drive and have my own mechanic give it a good once-over which was awesome! Gino was great! He helped me even when I thought that I wouldn’t be able to get a car due to credit issues but he was able to work with me and got me a great deal on a car! Im so happy I decided to come here for a new car! I highly recommend 4 wheels of fox lake!! (:
