Terms of Service

AutoAnon is a marketplace that connects car buyers with competing dealer offers. Buyers submit anonymous vehicle requests; dealers respond with offers. Buyers remain anonymous until they voluntarily accept an offer and share their contact information with a specific dealer.

AutoAnon is not a dealer, broker, lender, or insurer. We do not buy or sell vehicles. We do not guarantee that any dealer will respond to a request, that any offer will meet your expectations, or that any transaction will be completed. We are a platform — the deal is between you and the dealer.

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a vehicle purchase agreement in your jurisdiction to use AutoAnon as a buyer.

Anonymity. Your name, email, and phone number are never shared with any dealer until you explicitly accept a specific offer. Accepting an offer shares your contact information with that dealer only.

Accuracy. You agree to submit accurate information about the vehicle you're looking for. Submitting false or misleading requests (e.g. fabricating a trade-in to extract dealer appraisals with no intent to buy) is prohibited and may result in removal from the platform.

No obligation. Submitting a request does not obligate you to purchase a vehicle or accept any offer. However, once you accept an offer and your contact information is shared, you are expected to engage with the dealer in good faith.

Free for buyers. AutoAnon is free for buyers. We charge dealers, not you.

Eligibility. Dealer accounts are available to licensed, franchised, and independent vehicle dealers operating in Canada or the United States. Account approval is at AutoAnon's discretion. We may revoke approval at any time for violation of these Terms or for conduct that harms buyers or the platform.

Bid fee. Submitting an offer costs $20 (the "bid fee"), charged to your card on file at the time of submission. The bid fee is refunded if the buyer never views your offer and your offer expires. Once a buyer has viewed your offer, the bid fee is non-refundable regardless of outcome.

Acceptance fee. When a buyer accepts your offer, a $149 acceptance fee is charged. Contact information for the buyer is released to you only after this charge succeeds. If the charge fails, you will not receive the buyer's contact information until the charge is retried and succeeds.

Offer accuracy. Offers submitted through AutoAnon must be genuine. You agree that the price, dealer fee, included packages, trade-in offer, and financing terms in your offer are accurate and available to this buyer. Submitting bait-and-switch offers — offers you have no intention of honoring — is prohibited and grounds for account termination without refund.

Buyer data. Buyer contact information received through AutoAnon may only be used to complete the transaction for which it was shared. You may not add buyers to marketing lists, share their information with third parties, or contact them about other vehicles or offers without their explicit consent.

Expiry windows. When you submit an offer you select an expiry window (24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, or 14 days). Offers expire at the end of that window if not accepted. Expired offers that were never viewed are refunded the bid fee.

All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize AutoAnon to charge your card for bid fees and acceptance fees as described above.

Refunds are issued automatically by the platform in the circumstances described in Section 3 (bid fee refund for unviewed expired offers). All other charges are non-refundable except where required by law.

Disputes about charges should be directed to billing@autoanon.app before initiating a chargeback. Chargebacks for valid charges may result in account suspension.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent requests or offers
• Attempt to identify buyers through any means other than offer acceptance
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically download platform data
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to circumvent platform security measures
• Use the platform to facilitate any unlawful activity
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions or restrictions

Offer summaries displayed to buyers are generated automatically using AI. These summaries are informational and based on the data in the offer. They do not constitute financial, legal, or purchasing advice. AutoAnon does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated summaries. Always review the full offer details before making a decision.

AutoAnon is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, about the platform's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

We do not guarantee that dealers will respond to your request, that offers will meet your price expectations, or that any specific vehicle will be available. Market conditions, inventory, and dealer participation vary.

Vehicle pricing data shown for context (market medians, price comparisons) is sourced from third-party data providers and may not reflect actual transaction prices in your market.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoAnon's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the platform is limited to the fees you paid to AutoAnon in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AutoAnon, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated to registered dealers via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance. Buyers are encouraged to review the Terms periodically.
