That’s not what we got. • Inconsistent promises & pricing: On day one, we met with Luis, who told us they can negotiate at this Miami location (unlike their sister store in Colorado). He also showed us another car and said if we bought it that day it would be around $7,000. • Website vs. reality: We came for a car listed as “runs and drives” despite a front-left hit. In person, the steering wheel was almost impossible to turn. Luis acknowledged the issue wasn’t disclosed and said he’d have a mechanic check and fix it. He gave us his number and told us to reach out the next day. • Ghosted & contradictions: We called twice and texted twice—no response. When we returned to put a down payment, everything changed: we were told mechanics couldn’t fix the problem, the $7,000 car wasn’t actually for sale because it was “getting fixed,” and suddenly they “don’t really negotiate.” Only after pushing did they budge a bit on price. • Undisclosed condition issues: After purchase we found zip-tied parts, a bumper that wasn’t secured, taped-together pieces, and fiberglass throughout—none of which were listed in the online description. • Poor customer service: The day we bought the car, Luis saw us and ignored us, never asked about it, just turned away to chat with coworkers. When I later called about picking up the title (after being told it was ready), I was told I couldn’t come on Sunday because they’re “not supposed to be open”—even though the website said open until 6 PM, I called around 2:30 PM, and we originally viewed the car on a Sunday. The person on the phone was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. We’re grateful we could buy the car and we’ll handle the repairs, but the lack of transparency, shifting stories, and customer service were not up to par and felt shady. If you’re considering AEOFMIAMI, get a third-party inspection, verify all claims in writing, and assume what’s not disclosed may still be your problem.
