# Summary The shop is renowned for exceptional expertise in German vehicles, particularly Mercedes G-Class models, with a team led by the owner Joe that goes far beyond standard service to deliver meticulous craftsmanship and personalized attention. Customers consistently praise the thorough diagnostics, thoughtful customization work, transparent communication, and genuine care that makes them feel valued rather than simply transactional.
Highly recommend their GOAT mod stock + package for your older G-Wagen. I replaced the stock springs, shocks, steering stabilizer, and brake/diff-lock lines on my 2018 W463 with their package recommendations. The ride quality improvement was amazing. Contact these guys for the parts or to complete the install for you.
We had work done to our 1983 g wagon. Joe and his team go the extra mile to ensure their clients know they are receiving top of the line care. On a truck like our 83 g there is a finite amount of knowledgeable folk who can reliably work on these things and none in the country that match alliance autos knowledge and love for the vehicle. If you have a g class old or new Joe and his team at alliance auto are steps above the rest and a must have resource for any avid g wagon user.
Joe, Ryan, and the team at Alliance is absolutely awesome. I've worked with Joe to customize 2 Gwagens. Both of which got a lift, tires, wheels, and more. The 2nd one Joe and the team built for me was a dream come true - 4" lift, wheels + tires, front and rear bumpers, sliders, winch, and upgraded infotainment system. Many shops are capable of bolting parts on a right, but Joe does so, so much more. He gave us white glove treatment starting at the initial inquiry. We spent time at the shop talking through options, got deep into design work, and gave me detailed quotes for our dream build. Joe even helped us source the vehicle, coordinate shipping right to the shop, and sent me progress pics along the way. If you have any European vehicle, especially a Mercedes G wagen, you need to work with Joe and his team. The experience and outcome have been 5 stars. I see why Joe is known as the "G Wagen Guy" and why people from all over the country ship their rigs to him to work on.
I want to share my voice among all these others that have had an incredible experience with alliance auto care. Im not a person who should have a G wagon. I dont make enough money. I dont fit in with the club. My wife asked me to get her something that had power, was excellent in snow, with lockers front and back, had round headlights, and was not a jeep. That left one option. Since buying our G wagon, a 2016, we have replaced all steering, bushings, antennas on top, changed all fluids, replaced all suspension, etc. I put 20k into refurbishing this thing before I met alliance. After all that, there were still issues with drivability, the lockers didnt work (which we didnt know beforehand), the seats were uncomfortable, 4wd only worked in low range, and livability with the infotainment was dismal. Working with Joe and has team was the first time in my life that as a "patient," I didnt have to play "doctor" as well. They were able to diagnose and recommend and solve EVERYTHING, and get it really right. Now I am no novice to this. I have built hardcore off-roaders to the tune of 100k in aftermarket equipment. Not "Texas Bro, Need to Be Seen" crap, Im taking building a 2019 long bed Superduty to the point that I could winch backwards down the wall at Poughipse Gulch. Many rigs, deadlocks, Kings all around, 16.5 warns, anything and everything. This though, was my first introduction to German cars. Bottom line, me, my wife, we are SO grateful to Alliance Auto Care. They were more anal than I am. I have a tight sphincter. There are many good shops and good people, but now this, you likely want to get it right the first time. Alliance Auto Care is the way to do that. I would imagine that if there was one thing that Biden and Trump could agree on if they had sufficient and equal knowledge, it would be Alliance Auto Care is truly the place to Make Your GWAGON Great Again.
I’ve never written a review like this before, but Alliance Auto Care truly deserves it. I didn’t even bring my car to them, I’m in another state. Joe and Connor still helped me with a vehicle purchase by doing a remote video inspection, and for a very modest fee, they delivered a level of service and peace of mind that was worth far more than what I paid. Joe is a rare gem, a true expert, endlessly patient, and one of the kindest people you’ll meet. He’s a wealth of knowledge, always available to answer questions, and somehow makes you feel like you’re his only customer. Connor was just as professional and helpful, and together they set a new standard for what customer service should be. The inspection fee was more than fair, honestly, almost too fair for the amount of expertise and time they invested in me. It’s refreshing to find a company that values relationships over transactions. If they treat a remote customer like this, I can only imagine the level of service someone walking into their shop gets. Alliance Auto Care didn’t just give me peace of mind about my purchase, they restored my faith in what customer care should look like. They’ve earned my highest recommendation. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
