Salespeople at this dealership consistently receive praise for their patient, professional, and pressure-free approach to helping customers find the right vehicle and financing options. However, the service center has faced significant criticism for poor communication, lengthy repair timelines, and quality issues that have frustrated customers seeking warranty work and recalls.
We got there late just before closing, but we were met by Matt who was nice enough to show us around. We were looking for a reliable n reasonably price 1st new car for my daughter. We settled on a 2026 Kia Seltos. Nice features good looks n great avg 31 Mpg. Matt Cho was very patient n worked with us to get a planned financial set up that my daughter was comfortable paying. She’s very happy with the car n we are happy with the service Matt provided us, staying late on both days to make it happen for us. Mahalo Matt @ Airport Kia.
Update: The 2nd row seats were installed on the wrong sides and one is currently jammed. Lowered rating from 3 to 2 stars. I had a poor experience this time with the Service Center. I dropped off my van for a recall for the seat rails and the horn not working. We had the Kona low come through and it understandably set back the schedule. I was promised an update on Monday for the following day. I got no text or call on Tuesday. I ask for an update on Wednesday, no response. On Thursday, I informed the service center that the lack of communication was ridiculous since the van had been there nearly a week and I had almost no information. I finally got a response telling me they were waiting on parts and it should be ready for pickup on Friday. We left the island on Thursday for a planned vacation. The following Tuesday while we were on vacation, I was notified they scratched our van. No pictures were sent. No details of the incident were divulged. They stated they would get the damage fixed and offered a loaner for 3 days which turns out wouldn't have covered the amount of time the van would be out again. The next Monday I called 18 times and never once got a person on the phone. It prompted them to text me an update that the van should be available the following day, Tuesday. Tuesday, I get a call at 5pm notifying me my van was ready. Service center closes at 6pm and everyone here knows you don't get anywhere quickly at 5pm. I let the service center know that I would pick it up the following day. My wife said we should get it that day before something else happens to it. We were able to retrieve it thanks to the helpful manager on duty that day. The repair is mediocre at best. A chip is still present in the paint and the finish is matte like they didn't polish the repair. We dropped off the car the 19th and didn't get it back until the 31st. It was returned in a damaged condition. In the 10 working days they had it, I only received 7 messages, all of them prompted by me. Aloha Kia Airport needs to significantly improve their processes because their current state of affairs is unacceptable. Photos are attached. The damage is very minor, but the irritation is there shouldn't be damage when getting a vehicle serviced.
Had the best experience with Monique! From the very beginning with setting an appointment, answering any questions I had to purchasing she has been very helpful!! Highly recommend to ask for Monique! She will definitely try her best to make it happen, awesome service through the whole shop! The manager as well! Appreciate you Aloha Kia!
Kiet was a pleasure to work with throughout the buying process. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find the vehicle that best fit my needs without trying to push me toward a higher trim level or a more expensive option. I appreciated that the focus was on finding the right fit rather than making a bigger sale. The negotiation process was fair, straightforward, and transparent, and the overall experience was smooth and efficient. Communication was clear, expectations were set appropriately, and everything moved along faster than I anticipated. Overall, it was one of the better dealership experiences I’ve had. If you’re in the market for a vehicle and value a professional, no-pressure approach, I’d HIGHLY recommend working with Kiet.
Everyone was pleasant to speak with. No pressure from anyone and they all accommodated me with all my questions and concerns. The main thing is I think I got a good enough deal to feel good about my purchase. Big mahalo to Monique and Bradford welcoming me to the Kia family!
