Alpena GMC

I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership, and within approximately 15 minutes of leaving the lot, the check engine light came on. The dealership addressed this initial issue at no cost after about nine days. However, just four days after that repair, the vehicle stopped running entirely. When I returned the car, I was not given the option to schedule a service appointment, nor was I provided with a loaner vehicle. After about a week, I was told that they could not find anything wrong with the car. I then took the vehicle to an independent repair shop, where I was informed that the timing chain is faulty and that the transmission cooler lines are leaking.

Bought a used truck with 80,000 miles from GMC and it started dumping coolant immediately. As I was checking it over trying to see what was going on I checked the oil and it was near dry. Dealership paid for a tow back to the shop, gave me a loaner and called me very quickly that it was ready to go. They told me the oil was so clean that I couldn't see it on the dipstick. They told me there was nothing wrong with the coolant tank, that they blew it out and it held pressure, that it was just leaking AC condensation. I showed them pictures of the oil on the paper towel and the coolant puddle on my garage floor but they acted like I was stupid. So, I picked it up, got it home and it was dumping coolant. On the upside they did fill it up with oil. I texted my salesman and told him I was taking it to a real mechanic. So I did, and the coolant tank was cracked and I just fixed it out of my pocket. Wouldn't recommend using their shop.

The staff at Alpena GMC are always friendly, reasonable! The service advisor, Matt, who handled my appointment, ensured all the extra requests during my appointment were fulfilled.

They have always been good to me. I bought 2 of the 3 trucks I have owned from them and I will always go to them first when I'm in the market for any new vehicle. Any maintenance I have had done there they have always figured out the problem quickly. Everyone is always very friendly.
