We purchased a cargo van on Friday, performed a test drive and checked it over and it all checked out. As soon as we headed home it started acting up and would not shift out of first gear. It did this for a while, then it drove fine, then it started doing it again and by the time my husband made what should have been a 90 minute drive. It broke completely down and had to be hauled to our home and it took over three hours to make it to the point it broke down. I am increasing my rating to a 3 star because we were finally able to reach someone and they offered to pay for half of the new transmission. We are close to $4,000 in debt on repairs, but American Imports did send us a check for $1300 which was half the price of the transmission. I still would not personally recommend them but my spouse is happy with them at least paying for half of a bad transmission during the time of sale.

Loved this place! Friendly, family-oriented atmosphere with a very open and honest interaction with the vehicle we purchased. We found a car here within a budget that other places charge an arm and a leg for. Thank goodness dealerships like this are here to help the next person on a tight budget buy a vehicle while everything else in the world is so outrageously expensive. After going to multiple lots around the city we stopped here to test drive a vehicle. I called on our way and when we got there the vehicle we asked about was already started and parked up front. Took it for a test drive and loved the vehicle. Within 30 minutes after the test drive we were on the road. It was a great experience through and through and the employees were all top notch, professional and honest. I highly recommend them 10/10 will definitely buy more vehicles from them in the future.

Was looking at a car they have listed on cars.com the car is listed at $7,995 with and estimated $146 a month. I read everything about the car and its location nothing said different. When I emailed about the car I got a response today saying the car goes back up to $9,995 and id have to pay $400 a month while putting $3,000 down. They scam people to get more money so they falsely advertise their cars. The funny thing is I have another dealership calling me wanting to work with me to get me in the same year just different car, and they aren't trying to scam me or anything. Then reading all these reviews makes me question the car I was looking at because that car would be the first car I buy, and would have to get me back to down by terre haute and it's not worth it if the car is going to be bad

The pictures are definitely better than the cars in person and the salesman that they assigned to me didn't act like he wanted to sell any cars he just handed me the keys and said go start it and look around.
