The dealership receives praise for its salespeople, particularly for their responsiveness, product knowledge, and patience in guiding customers through purchases. However, customers report significant concerns about management's aggressive warranty sales tactics, lack of transparency in pricing and financing breakdowns, and insufficient vehicle preparation before delivery.
I purchased a car. So far, the process has been smooth. Laroy was great. He called immediately after I texted him several times with questions about the transaction. He kept me updated about what was going on on their end. Even though they just received the car, Laroy was quick to send me pictures. The necessary paperwork I needed to sign was overnighted quickly. Laroy was very easy to speak with on the phone. Up to this point, it couldn’t have gone any better.
My mom and I had a great experience at this dealership. We bought a 2023 Ram Rebel, it has been awesome so far. Lamar was a great car salesman and helped us through the whole process along with the manager. I am overall pleased with our experience.
LaRoy Brown was an amazing salesperson and did his homework on the vehicle. This purchase was for my kid, and LaRoy was dialed in on the features, patient with our questions, and ready with answers. What I appreciated most was that he was careful to only provide accurate information—when he wasn’t 100% sure, he took the time to confirm details with his manager rather than guessing. He was also knowledgeable about optional services like warranties and tire coverage and explained the fees and features clearly. Unfortunately, the experience with the sales manager was the opposite. The warranty push became overly aggressive, and during that process my proposed payment was significantly misquoted. Once it became clear I wasn’t moving forward with the warranty (for statistical/financial reasons), the tone shifted and attention to our deal dropped off noticeably. As far as the vehicle itself: I came in already well-researched on a 2021 A35 AMG. Between the Carfax and what LaRoy reviewed with us, I felt confident in the car. From a store/process standpoint, it didn’t feel like the vehicle was properly prepped before arrival. The car wasn’t started until I got there, and the battery was dead (they did replace it quickly). After the test drive, the detail felt rushed, and the car was delivered with only about half a tank of gas. Overall it gave the impression there wasn’t a real pre-sale inspection process happening. In the end, we’re happy with the vehicle—but that’s largely because we knew what we were buying before we arrived. LaRoy was the best part of this experience, and I’d absolutely work with him again (even if it were at another dealership). LaRoy earned the 5-star effort; the overall dealership process did not.
My husband and I finally made it in to the dealership on our day off fully prepared to purchase a truck from the dealership. We were greeted by Lamar who was an excellent salesman and took his time showing us all of the trucks we wanted to look at. We picked this dealership because they had a few of the trucks we were interested in buying but they would not work with us over the phone. Lamar as a salesman 5 stars. The dealership is shady. Zero stars Very few of the trucks on the lot had a sticker or a price which it made it hard to narrow it down without sitting in the showroom going through their inventory online Then we were told that the price online is at least $3000 higher due to the online pricing had incentives applied. Once we narrowed it down to the truck. The sales manager came back with a great price after applying discounts. We were prepared to purchase the truck. Once the financing came in the rates were all over the place and he would not disclose the breakdown of numbers just my OTD price which was $7000 higher and when I asked for the breakdown he asked where I wanted to be payment wise and seemed upset. Keep in mind we were the only customer in the building. We thanked Lamar for his time but went on to another dealership got a better deal on basically the same truck and saved a few thousand dollars and a $100 less a month. Beware of their pricing and read the small print. A dealer should be able to provide you with the breakdown of all the fees.
My experience at Atlantic City Mitsubishi has been amazing. The process was easy and the vehicle looked better than what I expected it to be. Laroy was super helpful and he made the buying process worth the effort of traveling from Florida. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an affordable vehicle with a smooth transaction.
