Terrible Experience with Hyundai and My 2013 Tucson I’m beyond frustrated with my experience owning a Hyundai Tucson 2013. After 11 years of use, my car began experiencing severe issues. The dashboard lights started flashing, and the engine completely stopped working. Initially, I thought it might be a battery issue, so I tried boosting it, but that didn’t work. I ended up towing the car to South Town Hyundai in Edmonton, hoping they could fix the problem. After holding my car for a week, the dealership contacted me and claimed the issue was with the starter. They quoted me $1,000 for the repair. Although the price felt high, I trusted their assessment and agreed to the repair. Five days later, I got another call from a representative named Kristal, who told me my car still wasn’t working. She then explained that the problem wasn’t the starter—it was the engine. When I asked how much it would cost to replace the engine, Kristal quoted $10,000 on top of the $1,000 I had already spent on the unnecessary starter replacement. This news was shocking and frustrating. I asked if they could offer me a trade-in option for my car, but Kristal informed me it wasn’t worth anything. After researching online, I discovered that Hyundai cars manufactured between 2013 and 2015 are notorious for engine defects. These issues are well-documented, and Hyundai even issued recalls for many of these models, including mine. Armed with this information, I contacted Hyundai’s head office in the U.S., who confirmed the recall and directed me to Auto Service Canada for further assistance. When I contacted Auto Service Canada, they instructed me to obtain a detailed report and photos from the dealership. This cost me another $500. I submitted the report, only to be told that my car didn’t qualify for the recall because it had over 200,000 km. I felt completely let down, as the problem was clearly related to the known defect, and I believed it should have been covered regardless of mileage. I demanded to speak with a supervisor at Auto Service Canada. I explained that Hyundai cars from 2013 to 2015 are plagued with engine issues and that it was unfair to deny my claim based solely on mileage. While the supervisor listened to my case, they stood firm on the mileage restriction and refused to help. Having no other choice, I decided to proceed with replacing the engine. The dealership initially quoted me for a full engine replacement, but when the work was completed, I discovered they had replaced only half of the engine. While they charged me $1,000 less than the original quote, this decision was never communicated to me beforehand. What’s worse, the report they gave me suggested that the remaining half of the engine would need to be replaced later. Essentially, I paid a substantial amount of money for an incomplete repair, knowing more issues are likely down the road. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Hyundai’s mishandling of the widespread engine problems in their 2013 to 2015 models is appalling. Despite issuing recalls for these defects, they refused to assist me due to arbitrary mileage limits, leaving me to bear the financial burden of their flawed design. Between the dealership’s misdiagnosis, lack of transparency, and incomplete repairs, and Hyundai’s unwillingness to stand behind their product, I have completely lost faith in this brand. I will never purchase another Hyundai vehicle again, and I strongly urge others to think twice before doing so. Hyundai’s lack of accountability and support could leave you in a similarly frustrating situation.

I would save your money and stay away from anything and/or anyone associated with this dealership. Andrew Bieg is the attorney for this goat show and I'm not sure why they even hired him. He's taken months to even respond to simple emails. Did not investigate anything, nor did he call me to speak with me directly to get my side.

Would give 0 stars if possible. No one ever go here. No way a Nissan kicks is 42k when I was told it was 17. They ripped me off and took complete advantage and then ghosted me. Absolutely disgusting
