# Summary The dealership receives high praise from many customers for exceptional sales staff who provide patient, knowledgeable service and attractive pricing on vehicles, though its service department has faced serious criticism for significantly overestimating repair costs, recommending unnecessary work, and handling customer complaints dismissively. While sales experiences are consistently positive across multiple reviews, the service department's credibility has been damaged by instances of inflated quotes and poor customer service recovery.
I owned a 2013 Kia Optima that was reaching it's final moments after collected almost 200k miles. She was an exceptional car that got me from point A to point B. She also had all the perks that any person who enjoys tech and such, would want in their car. So, giving her away was a hard decision to make overall. Alex what works for Auto Fair VW in Nashua, was the best salesman from start to finish. Originally I was referred to a 2018 VW Tiguan. A step up from mine because it was an SUV. But I wanted to explore my options so I told Alex what I was looking for and boy did he deliver. A 2019 VW Atlas R Line V6 fully stocked tech packaged SUV with only 84k miles to start. At first I was taken back and confused but once I saw the price, I couldn't give up the opportunity. Again, from start to finish Alex met every expectations I was looking for. The car, the price, the financial options to loan the car, and obtaining extended warranty for 3 years. I would highly recommend this VW dealership to anyone looking to snag a new or used vehicle. When that time comes for you, reach out to Alex. He will most definitely provide the utmost substantial customer service you could ask for from any car salesman. Thank you Alex for all that you've done. Thank you to the VW team who ensured that my experience was a continued satisfaction!
My wife brought her car to the service department at AutoFair Volkswagen for a diagnosis of an oil light and engine light issue. After waiting several hours, she was presented with a repair estimate totaling more than $7,200. Wanting a second opinion, the vehicle was towed to a trusted local mechanic who correctly diagnosed the actual problem and repaired it — along with replacing the rear brakes — for $1,360, nearly $6,000 less than what AutoFair quoted. What was especially concerning was that the dealership’s estimate included repairs my mechanic said were unnecessary, including front brakes that did not need replacement. That experience alone seriously damaged my trust in their service department. Unfortunately, the situation became even worse afterward. When my wife got her car back from our mechanic, we discovered the engine cover was missing. Our mechanic confirmed the car arrived by tow without it, meaning it had likely been left behind at the dealership. When my wife contacted AutoFair, the service advisor, Jodi, put her on hold and went to check for it. When she came back a minute later, she said that they didn't have it and the mechanic, Riley, was positive he put everything back. When she kept pressing, Jodi said the Riley put everything back and she had watched him do it. When my wife asked again how they'd make this right, Jodi became rude and dismissive. After reviewing the documentation and AutoFair’s own diagnostic video, which clearly showed the engine cover was present while the vehicle was at the dealership, I went back to the dealership. After presenting this information to the service manager, John, the missing engine cover was suddenly “found." The cover had been swept under the tool box. While I appreciate the service manager taking the issue seriously and resolving it, the overall experience left me extremely disappointed. Who's to say that our engine cover would have ever been "found", if we didn't have video evidence. Between the inflated repair quote, the unnecessary recommended repairs by a certified technician, and the way this situation was handled, I no longer feel confident trusting this dealership with my vehicle nor my business. I would strongly recommend seeking an alternative dealership or mechanic if you need your vehicle serviced.
I had some minor issues with arranging payment, yet, these guys were all about helping me out to insure a smooth process. Bought a used VW Jetta, they went through it completely, did a free alignment, oil change, hell they even topped off the gas tank. I will most certainly go bk to them when it's time to upgrade in a cpl yrs!! Very satisfied!!
Sales staff member Vadzim Shylko was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was knowledgeable and patient, especially when we were initially on a fact-finding mission which we clearly communicated from the start. We never felt any pressure to purchase. The entire team was understanding and respectful of our needs throughout the process
Dealt with new guy Liam, Liam was great to deal with from the phone call to the driving away. Also the finance manager Carrie is think was her name. She was awesome. Will Def be back for our next suv. Not one bad thing to say here other than if your not going here for your purchase your missing out. Absolutely great experience with these 2.
