# Summary The dealership receives polarized feedback, with customers praising individual salespeople like Nefrita Armstrong and Marcel for personable service during vehicle purchases, while service department customers report significant frustrations with rude staff, unresolved mechanical issues, lack of communication, and what some perceive as unnecessary upselling of repairs.
My reverse camera went out for the second time in my truck. The first time it went out, I called made an appointment with my oil change. They did a diagnostic test, the oil change and fixed the camera all in about 4 hrs. The representative was great, I hate I forgot his name. This time around, I have caught HELL because CHRIS is rude as ever at the service counter. He wanted to tell me he is down 5 technicians from the last time I came and so on this is the second appointment. The first appointment he said, one called out and another is late which is the electrician technician I'm assuming. I paid for a platinum warranty, he gave me the run around about that also stating I need to know what kind of warranty I had, I never had this problem until now. I called back and Jennifer answered the phone she wasn't the nicest either I'm assuming she works for both Dodge dealerships in Columbus. I even asked to speak with the service manager and she said, he don't come in until after 9 am and she would leave a message for him to call me back. I did that the last time and I never got a call back. It's just unacceptable how consumers are treated these days and nothing is really done about it. I need my reverse camera fixed because of my eye stigma. I will try and make another appointment at the North Dodge location and hopefully my experience is better. This is the outlook of my camera when my vehicle is in reverse. Chris from Autonation South calling me back, didn't solve any of my problems. He called to say, the same thing he told me earlier in regards to my reverse camera diagnostic protocol, once again the problems he was telling me about a nationwide shortage of technician is not my problem #1, you still have a company to run along with service cars. Instead of you sitting at the desk doing nothing, you get out and service the vehicles. Chris or Greg don't call my phone in regards to your problem with service technician s ever. I won't be returning back to Autonation South because of the service from the service department.
If you have any major issues or anything more than a tire/oil change go elsewhere! I had a bad gas smell that had been off and on with my jeep for a couple of months and decided to bring it here since I could not find the cause. I explained to the service member all the issues from when it smells the most to how it dissappears after driving for awhile. While they worked on the car , I decided to wait, which lasted about 8hrs. Once they finished, they told me what the issue was and that it was resolved. After paying almost $800 for the fix, I was just happy to have the issue resolved or at least that's what I thought. The next day the smell came back. I called and spoke to Scott who told me "it's probably just residual fumes and should be gone in a few days". I drove for a few days including from Columbus to Atlanta and every day the smell remained. I brought it back to them on a Friday to fix the unresolved issue. The one star I gave is for the shuttle service they provide which was highly needed. They kept the car overnight with no heads up which would have been nice since it's my only vehicle so I only found out when I called and was told the service team is gone for the day. The next morning ,(Saturday)they contacted me letting me know that they could not find the issue and it passed all of the tests they ran. I asked if they cold started it and used the automatic starter (mentioned several times) since that's when it smelled the most. Scott said yes but still could not find any leaks. Six hours pass and I don't hear anything so I reach out for an update. He tells me how they still didn't find any leaks or any signs of wetness and that the only other option is to start tearing down the fuel lines and remove the fuel tank. What??? I respond letting him know that that's not necessary especially after doing a smoke test through those said lines. Now I feel like they're just guessing and looking for reasons to do more work on the truck. I get no reply to my response so decide to call in and to my surprise they tell me the service team is gone...AGAIN, with no heads up. So now I'm carless until Monday since they're closed on Sunday. No professionalism at all!!! Now it's Monday at 11am and they tell me that they noticed some seeping from around the injectors and it'll cost me another $1200 and it may or may not fix the problem. This is the worst service and money grabbing dealership that I've ever been to. Instead of saying, hey, sorry we didn't fix your issue that you paid for, we'll try something else without any extra fees. They want to keep trying and guessing why emptying their customers pockets! NEVER AGAIN!! P.S Once I go to my car that is parked in their lot, I noticed it's parked my broken glass and the rear bumper wasn't put on all the way as shown in the pics. After going under the hood later that day I also noticed some missing bolts. Worst experience ever!
Nefrita Armstrong is top tier!!! Great personality! Great service! Very communicative!! This was my husband and I first time purchasing a car together and she made our first experience smooth! We talked about how she made us feel comfortable. We like that she answered questions and gave us much needed information.
I went to pick up my car from the service area. It was fixed for a safety recall. I stood there while three male workers continued looking at computer, paperwork etc. I waited for a minute or two and I said "Good morning!" One of the guys looked up and and said "Good morning", and continued with whatever he was doing. I waited another minute or so and then I asked, "Who can I speak to about picking up my car?" Same guy responded " What's your name?" I told him my name. He looked in his computer, got up and went into a room, came back, handed me me key, and sat back down to continue working. I then asked, "Where is my car????" Same guy pointed to a parking lot. I then walked the lot until I found my car. No greeting. No smile. No paperwork. No thank you. Not even "Have a nice day". No follow-up from Scott (the contact person i was texting with the day before). Just nothing! Very diapleasing experience.
The dealership was and personnel were excellent. Knowledgeable of their products. Test drove three trucks. Chose one. Marcel was personable, talker, and overall and excellent salesperson. The experience was great and relaxing.
