AutoNation Honda Roseville

Well, I was looking for a used Honda after my Subaru was totaled. The sales person worked hard showing me different cars, and I ended up buying a used 2025 Mazda CX30. I was still pretty traumatized after the accident, and I was focused on getting some wheels ASAP. The sad thing was, he told me nothing about this car except how to open the gas tank! I had to read the manual to find out all the great safety things this car offers, plus use of the tech screen, mpg, etc. I admit I wasn’t looking for a Mazda, so I had not done any research on this car. But I guess the old method car salesmen used by extolling the virtues of the car they are trying to sell , is gone now. Maybe since this was an Honda dealership, the guy didn’t know anything about Mazdas! Also, he didn’t even know that the car had 14 months left on the warranty!! That’s a big selling point! I also was left alone at a table for about 2 hours or so after I signed that I was buying the car. I don’t know where the guy was, I guess they were checking my credit, etc even though I was paying cash. It would have been nice if he had checked in on me. I only received one key fob…..I wish they would have advised me on why only one key, and how to get a spare. I have bought a few cars in my lifetime…..when I bought my used Subaru it was a better experience, as I remember. Anyhow, the car is very nice looking, and I’m pleased with all the features it has. It’s drives nice, although a bit of a bumpy ride, which I did not notice during my test drive. The info screen works smoothly, as does phone and text. Mpg so far is about 27 city, according to the info on the screen.

The lease was ending on my Honda Pilot, we were interested in upgrading if the numbers made sense & wanted to see the buy out numbers on the lease. First we went to the Honda dealership in Auburn, which was not a good experience at all. Then we came to this Honda. Malek assisted us, he was so wonderful! Not only was he a genuinely friendly person, he worked to get us as close to our price range as possible. Him & his team gave us the fair trade in value for my Pilot, where Auburn Honda was trying to under value it by 2K. The payments are lower than what Honda Auburn was offering us for a year older & lower trim. Malek & his team too the time to work with us & our needs, which ended up getting us into a much nicer car than we were hoping for. We upgraded to the 2026 Passport Trailsport Elite HPD package & I couldn’t be more pleased!
