# Summary The dealership receives highly polarized reviews, with some customers praising the smooth purchasing experience and helpful staff like Rafael, while others report significant issues including unfulfilled pre-sale agreements, poor communication, false advertising, missing documentation, and unprofessional handling of their mistakes. The negative experiences highlight broken promises regarding repairs, inadequate compensation for inconveniences caused by scheduling failures, and a pattern of only addressing concerns after customers threatened negative reviews.
Switched from a Kia to an Audi Q5 and honestly the experience was smooth from beginning to end. Rafael was very meticulous for my demands..respectful, helpful, and made everything easy for me. Really happy with the upgrade, thank you again my friend
READ THIS BEFORE BUYING A CAR WITH IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership and I would not recommend them to anyone. Problem 1: Before buying the car, we had an agreement that they would replace the front brakes, replace the thermostat, and properly treat the rust on the vehicle. Because of this agreement, they refused to lower the price of the car, and I accepted that. In the end, the rust treatment was done very poorly (photos attached), and later I found out the brakes were not replaced as promised. Problem 2: We had an agreement that I would fly from Ontario to Montreal on May 2 to pick up the car. My friend and I already bought plane tickets and were fully prepared for the trip. On the afternoon of May 1, salesman Rafael texted me saying they would not finish the car in time and asked if we could reschedule. Neither me nor my friend could get a refund for the tickets because they were discounted tickets. The dealership only reimbursed my ticket because “I was the buyer,” but they refused to help with my friend’s ticket at all. That already showed me how little they care about customers. Problem 3: The car listing on CarGurus said the vehicle had Apple CarPlay. I specifically asked them to confirm this before finalizing everything, and only then they admitted the car did NOT have Apple CarPlay. This was clearly false advertising from the dealership. After I already sent the deposit, I asked if they could cover the installation cost because of their mistake. Rafael told me he would speak to the manager, but then quickly replied that they could not do anything because it was “just a mistake.” Later, after I mentioned leaving a review about this experience, they suddenly said they “couldn’t find anyone cheap enough” to install Apple CarPlay. I personally found multiple people on Facebook Marketplace offering the service for around $550 and even sent them the contacts. After another day, they finally offered to cover only HALF of the installation cost. For a professional dealership, this response felt very cheap and unprofessional. Problem 4: I finally flew from Ontario to Montreal and picked up the car. Everything seemed fine during the paperwork process. But when I returned to Ontario and went to ServiceOntario, they told me the dealership did NOT provide the ownership document required for registration. I contacted Rafael, and he kept insisting that the papers they gave me were correct. The next day I went to another ServiceOntario location, where they showed me what the real Quebec ownership document should look like. I sent Rafael the example, and only then he replied: “Oh yes, my manager forgot it.” Problem 5: After buying the car, I went to do a safety inspection, and the mechanic informed me that the front brake rotors were warped and already wearing out quickly. He told me that I could still drive the car for now, but I would need to replace them soon. The mechanic also confirmed that the brakes were NOT replaced — neither the front nor the rear brakes — even though I had a clear agreement with the dealership that this work would be completed before the sale. This completely proved that the promises made before the purchase were not respected. Overall, this experience was stressful, unprofessional, and full of mistakes and broken promises. I strongly recommend other buyers to be very careful with this dealership and inspect EVERYTHING independently before making a purchase.
Update- 2 weeks after purchase: After sale service is just as amazing as the pre-sale/sale service. This dealership and Rafael went above and beyond for me. Again, highly recommend this be your spot to buy a used car. Just concluded a successful transaction here. It could not have gone easier. I was helped by Rafael who was nothing but kind, helpful and most importantly not pushy. Their selection of gorgeous vintage cars... collectibles, is worth the visit alone... Maybe if I win the lottery. But those aside, I highly recommend this dealership if you are looking for a used car (and I promise you, I have visited quite a few dealerships before settling here- there is no comparison).
I was not the buyer of the vehicle, but I was involved in the situation, and honestly the whole experience looked very unprofessional. The buyer and I already had flights booked to Montreal to pick up the car. However, we were informed only 14 hours before departure that the vehicle would not be ready on time. Because the tickets were purchased at a discount, we were unable to get a refund. What surprised me the most was how little responsibility the dealership took for the situation. They only focused on the buyer and completely ignored the additional costs and inconvenience caused by their delay. From the outside, the communication looked very disorganized — agreements kept changing, and there were constant new issues with the vehicle and paperwork. After everything I witnessed, personally I would never trust this dealership to purchase a vehicle.
Tom and Louis Charles at Autos Certifiées Montreal made my car buying experience fantastic. Tom was knowledgeable and attentive, helping me find the perfect vehicle without any pressure. Louis Charles explained the financing process clearly, making it smooth and stress-free. Their professionalism and teamwork were outstanding. Highly recommend them for a great experience! Thank you
