So let’s begin with the beginning. My wife went for her scheduled oil change in the morning. After all said and done, drove around all day to do her errands. After driving to do them for hours, she noticed a lot of smoke coming from the engine area. She pulled over and called me. I rushed over, opened the hood only to realize the mechanic forgot the oil cap off and for that reason, all the oil stayed out everywhere. My wife was with my kids at the time and is not a mechanic, but knows that I am. I contacted the dealer, after 5pm, only to be pissed off even more finding out no one can help me and the receptionist was the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with. I asked her for her name, only to be questioned the reasoning and I told her it is to file a complaint. Once that was said, she hung up on me and refused my calls after that. It is not the first time having an issue with this dealership, but my wife is a very kind person and believes in second chances. But now the fact my kids were also in the car and it could’ve caught on fire, enough is enough. The 2022 Outlander is getting towed back to the dealership, because it was their mistake, I will update with what the outcome was.
