Bernie Bishop Mazda

Bernie Bishop. I have lived in Brookings for about 8 years now. And this is the first time I’ve needed a Machine on my Mini Cooper, so, I thought I’d take a chance and go into Bernie Bishop, and woo. The customer service was amazing… I need a big repair on my car, so, Joe, the manager really went behind his job to help me-use my car warranty for the first time in 6 years. Joe was able to handle everything for me, and got everything paid. I am so grateful for his help. I had a couple of bad nights slept worrying about if it was going to work out with my warranty on my car, and, it did, thanks to Joe. So my mini cooper will be at Bernie Bishop’s on Wednesday morning it get all fixed up, and like brand new again. I will be a customer for ever. And, this great company does just about everything … So, if you need a honest company to work on your car, you must go and see Joe. Maureen Knox!! P.S. they are having their company meeting on Wednesday, and I really hope everyone reads this review!! And, I forgot to mention that they give you a loaner to go about your day!! I just can’t say enough about this company 😂

Came to Brookings for a vacation and our prius broke down. Called around and found Bernie Bishop Mazda, best customer service, best price! Had us up and running and back on our way home in a reasonable time! Would 10/10 recommend!

Our family has used Bernie Bishop Mazda multiple times over the years to perform repairs and maintenance on our vehicles. The service has always been outstanding. The service team is knowledgeable, friendly, detail oriented and genuinely care about customer satisfaction. We very much appreciate receiving high quality work at extremely reasonable prices. A sincere thank you for going above and beyond. Can’t say enough good, highly recommend.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was serious enough that others should be aware. My husband and I normally change the oil in our vehicles ourselves. However, after he recently had surgery and was unable to do so during recovery, we scheduled a routine oil change with the service department at Bernie Bishop Mazda. Not long after the appointment, I experienced a situation that left me stranded. When the vehicle was inspected, we discovered that the oil had been drained from the crankcase but had not been refilled. Driving without engine oil can cause catastrophic engine damage in a very short amount of time. In addition, the belly pan under the vehicle had not been properly reinstalled. At highway speed it became loose, creating a dangerous situation while I was driving. I contacted the service department at Bernie Bishop Mazda to explain what had happened. Unfortunately, I did not feel that the seriousness of the issue was acknowledged or addressed. Because of this experience, I will be taking my vehicle to Grants Pass for service going forward. Based on what happened, I cannot recommend this service department. When a routine oil change results in a vehicle being returned without engine oil and with loose components underneath, it raises serious concerns about quality control and safety.

A HUGE shout out to this Mazda dealer. We are traveling along the coast in a Mazda rental car from Alamo. We had a problem with the car seat belt and Alamo wanted us to drive 6 hours back to Portland to exchange the car. We called Bernie Bishop and not only did they fit us in same day but also used the warranty. Thank you again, we are back on the road!
