# Summary Experiences at this dealership are sharply divided, with some customers praising the sales team's professionalism and friendliness, while others report severe service department failures including damaged vehicles, poor workmanship, and unprofessional management conduct. The inconsistency suggests strong sales operations but significant operational and customer service issues within the service department.
I highly recommend working with Shawn. He made my car buying experience so easy and smooth. Changed my whole perspective buying from a dealership as I used to avoid at all costs. But after finding the exact car I wanted from them I couldn’t be happier. Thanks again Shawn!
Worst Experience Ever – Dishonest and Unprofessional Dealer! We purchased a 2023 BMW iX M60 VIN WB533CF06PCL29674 from BMW of Pleasant Grove on September 13, 2025. The car had only 15,800 miles, one previous owner, and was in perfect condition — no scratches, flawless paint, wheels like new. My family was overjoyed. But everything turned into a nightmare just two days later. On September 15, 2025, we brought the car back for a simple job: protective film on the glass roof and headlights. The results were horrifying: • Scratched door sills and trim with dirty shoe marks. • New visible scratches on the paint. • The roof film was full of bubbles, trash under the film, and cut unevenly. • The headlight films were the same — full of bubbles, peeling off. • Worst of all, they CUT into the right headlight with a knife, leaving a permanent deep scratch. • Our left rear alloy wheel was curbed and scratched, though it was flawless before. We complained immediately, and the manager John promised to fix everything. But when we came back on September 17, things were even worse: • New scratches on the sills. • Same bubbles and trash under the roof film. • The “repaired” headlight was simply re-covered, hiding the knife cut. We begged them to be careful, to use protective covers inside, not to step on painted sills with dirty shoes. John promised again. They gave us a loaner and kept the car for several days. Through the car’s cameras, we witnessed shocking negligence: • No protective covers inside. Workers sat inside with dirty clothes and tool belts. • They stood on the painted sills in boots, causing more scratches. • They polished a headlight directly on the car, spraying polishing paste all over the engine bay. • Instead of replacing the damaged headlight with a new one, they installed a used, refurbished headlight even worse than ours, with sanding marks, bubbles under film, and even a fingerprint melted into the lens. When we confronted John, he lied, claiming it was “brand new.” We could clearly see it was used, dirty inside, and poorly polished. Even worse, they damaged our wheels trying to “polish out” scratches, changing the geometry of the spokes. When we asked to speak to the general manager, things got truly appalling. He openly mocked us, laughed at my wife until she cried (on our wedding anniversary!), and told us that “all new cars come scratched from the factory” and that “door sills are made for people to step on with their boots.” His behavior was insulting, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We have photo and video proof of all the damages, the workers’ negligence, and the management’s lies. We will also be filing formal complaints with BMW of North America, Utah Division of Consumer Protection, and the Better Business Bureau. The general manager even mocked that, saying he “has connections everywhere.” ⚠️ WARNING: This dealership is dishonest, careless, and disrespectful to customers. They RUINED a nearly perfect $60,000 BMW, lied about their mistakes, tried to cover it up with used parts, and then mocked us to our faces. 👉 If you value your car and your dignity, stay far away from BMW of Pleasant Grove.
It took me three months to find the strength to write this. My experience with this dealership was devastating and completely broke my dream of owning my **2023 BMW iX M60**. I purchased the car, signed all documents, paid my down payment, traded in my previous vehicle, and even made my first loan payment. I also paid for PPF on the moonroof and headlights. When I came to pick up my car, the results were shocking: the PPF was cut unevenly, installed with dirt underneath, and my previously perfect headlight was sliced and scratched with a knife. They redid the work three times, but each attempt was unacceptable. They also scratched the paint while working on the moonroof. When I returned again, I found they had replaced my perfect headlight with an older used one and polished it without my consent, leaving marks and scratches. My brand-new BMW was damaged and devalued within a week. All I asked was to return my car in the condition I bought it. Instead, a senior manager laughed in my face, dismissed everything I said, and told me I was “demanding the impossible.” When I came back on Monday simply to pick up my car, they refused to release it unless my husband deleted his Google review. When I said I could not do that, they told me to leave or they would call the police for “trespassing.” During this time, I connected to the car’s cameras and saw careless handling in the service bay. Then I discovered something even worse: **they sold my 2023 BMW iX M60 to another customer before my contract was officially reversed, before my loan was closed, and before my down payment was returned.** My trade-in also caused problems later because the dealership had already listed it for sale; cached listings remained online and created issues when I tried to sell it. This was the most traumatic and unprofessional experience I have ever had. I share this so others can make informed decisions.
Love this place. I’m not a huge fan of going to dealerships, but this location has changed my perspective. Everyone is super friendly, helpful and quick to get things done in the right way. I do a lot of my own work on my cars but I love taking my car in here for my oil changes. They provided a great deal and always come through with exceptional service. Highly recommend stopping in!
I have removed my original review and have posted a revised review. (Edited on 4/26/26) My experience started off incredible. Was greeted at the door, and immediately directed to a salesman to talk about the car. Had a test drive almost immediately, and the sales process was quick, clean, and simple. They were quite transparent about the pricing and were willing to work with me on any and all add-ons. During the test drive, the car reported two issues, an emergency SOS system malfunction and a Passenger Restraint System malfunction. The dealership assured me that they would take the car back to figure out the issues and get the problems resolved. I waited for 2.5 hours; and was told that I’d need to come back later, and that they’d handle the logistics of parts and scheduling the appointment. They also said they could not complete the interior detail, and could not offer a fill up of the gas tank (The car was full when I received it, so not anything I worried about), and said when I brought the car in next time they’d detail the car and fill it up. About 2 weeks later; I received an email with an invoice stating the issues, with a please advice message attached. No parts were listed and no delivery time was given. This would be the last I’d hear from them until I began messages with the original sales guy 4 months after the email. The text conversation consisted of deflections of “waiting on the service team” and “talking to the service manager”, with my texts requesting updates not going answered until I checked in on the issues, with more deflections and promises to check on the process. It’s frustrating to have both a great experience and a poor experience at the same time. The sales team seem to be committed to assisting everyone to the best of their abilities, with the service department failing on every accord. I was reached out to the next day after this review. Jacob was incredibly professional and apologetic in his response. After talking with him for a few minutes, I received confirmation that parts were ordered, a loaner car would be issued to me, and they would rectify the issues I had with my car, all scheduled for this last week. I dropped my car off, they performed the services, plus an oil change and new tires and alignment. They kept my car for the day, and delivered it the next day. It looks like they vacuumed out the inside and gave the exterior a wash. They gave a nice loaner vehicle out, and gave updates throughout the day. This was the experience I was honestly hoping to get from the get go, and it’s a shame that it took a google review to get it, but I have to say the service team here at BMW of Pleasant Grove really went above and beyond to make up for everything that happened. I appreciate the effort everyone made to do better, and I can see myself going back to these guys again.
