If there was anything lower I would make lower. The customer service I received with a phone call from the service manager was horrible. I took my Chevy Silverado for a battery change and upon receiving my truck a week later I noticed the tail lights stay on and do not turn off. I ask for assistance and now they want to charge a diagnostic fee of $240. That's not including labor and parts for the real problem. No I have trouble shoot and take my truck to another dealership that does better work. Don't take your vehicle here unless you want additional problems with your vehicle. They used to be very reliable, but they have gone way down with there customers service.

This is a long overdue review for Peter Mascari at Bob Stall Chevrolet. He helped us with the purchase of my daughter’s 2025 Equinox EV back in June 2025, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Peter truly went above and beyond. He gave us the opportunity to test drive the vehicle both locally and on the freeway, taking plenty of time to walk us through all the features and functionality before we had even agreed on pricing. His patience, knowledge, and no-pressure approach made the entire process comfortable and informative. In addition to Peter’s excellent service, everyone we interacted with at Bob Stall Chevrolet was friendly and easy to work with, which made the experience even better. Very fast and professional service. Very competent people. I brought in my Bolt EV for battery replacement (recall) and they completed it quickly. Other dealerships were making it a big hassle, as if they didn’t even want my business! Seems like the others didn’t even want to work on EVs, but this place is great. My service advisor was Chuck, and he was very helpful.

Recently, my Chevy Volt experienced a breakdown and became immobilized in my garage. I initially contacted a local dealer, who informed me that they no longer perform Powertrain diagnosis on Volts. My inquiry with another Chevrolet dealership resulted in an estimated wait time of three weeks before they could assess my vehicle. Ultimately, I reached out to Essi Boostani, General Manager of Bob Stall Chevrolet on Alvarado Rd, La Mesa. Mr. Boostani was exceptionally accommodating, promptly accepting my vehicle for diagnosis the same day. The diagnostic task was assigned to Joe Rivera, who assured me it would be diagnosed on the next business day. As promised, the diagnosis was performed as scheduled, and Mr. Rivera provided a clear explanation of the issue, confirming that it was reparable. Fortunately, the required part was available in stock, allowing for immediate repairs, and I was also provided with a comprehensive diagnosis report. The repairs were completed the same day, and I was informed that my car would be ready for pick-up the following day. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by an associate whose professionalism and courtesy made a strong impression. I am grateful for the efficient service, professionalism, and courtesy demonstrated by Mr. Boostani, Mr. Rivera, and their team. Based on this positive experience, I intend to rely on Bob Stall Chevrolet for all future automotive needs and will enthusiastically recommend their services to others.

This rating applies to a service visit on an older model Silverado pick up truck consisting of an oil change, tire rotation, and multiple component inspection, including recommendations of maintenance upkeep. The level of honesty was unexpected (my positive experience with automotive repair shops falls short) but much appreciated. I will attempt to schedule future maintenance service to address their findings, if I am in the San Diego area for work/business since I am not a local.
