I don’t usually post negative reviews, but I want to share this experience so others can avoid the same situation. We brought our truck to Bodwells in Brunswick and were charged about $1,500—roughly $1,300 in labor—for diagnostic work. The issue was never identified or fixed. At no point (until they were 8 labor hours in) were we given a clear estimate for labor hours or total cost. While they did speak with my husband about ongoing troubleshooting, they never communicated how much time was being billed. Had we known, we would have reconsidered how to proceed much sooner. When I spoke with management, their response was that we should have known the bill would increase as more work was done and that they wouldn’t still be in business if they were ripping people off. I understand that diagnostic work takes time and that technicians deserve to be paid. However, customers should be given clear estimates and updates—especially before charges reach this level. My advice: Find a different service center. if you do go here, make sure you get a written estimate and set a firm approval limit for labor before work continues- or you may also be left with a hefty bill, a broken truck and a bad feeling about their business!

My husband and I stopped briefly to check out one of their used vehicles..honestly a little nervous about a pushy salesman since it was early on a Saturday. What followed was a surprise wonderful experience with Nicholas! No pressure whatsoever which was fantastic, just a down to earth guy who gave us tons of options. Just what we needed.
