# Summary The dealership receives mixed reviews, with some customers praising exceptional service from specific staff members and smooth purchasing experiences, while others report significant issues including aggressive upselling tactics, inadequate service for diesel vehicles, and poor handling of warranty concerns. Key complaints center on misleading sales practices, lack of expertise in certain technical areas, and inconsistent customer service, though positive experiences highlight the professionalism of individual service advisors and managers.
Be very careful with this dealership. They will try to upsell you a 20 or 25 year paint protection plan for $1500 but they don’t even offer paint services at the dealership. I have tried to have a paint chip in my door repaired by them and all they did was try to sell me a paint pen. I reminded them I had the paint protection plan and they finally gave me the pen for free. I would like my paint chips fixed in my new vehicle, otherwise reimburse me for the false plan you sold me. I will be taking this to the BBB if not resolved. In addition to this, my new vehicle completely shut off and turned into a brick on a Saturday afternoon because of a software update. I needed to have it towed. The roadside assistance in the vehicle sends you to the American roadside assistance and they are unable to help us in Canada. VW Bridgewater didn’t even offer me a loaner vehicle come Monday, so I missed work on Monday and Tuesday. They had the nerve to tell me they waived my deductible because it was within the manufacturer’s warranty period. Fast forward one week, a recall was sent out for all 2025 models regarding this software update. I am still waiting for the phone call from the service manager, which I was told I would receive. Above all, VW has been offering 0% financing since March 2025 for 60 month terms or less. They failed to disclose this would be happening when I bought my vehicle. I bought my vehicle two weeks prior to this financing change. I hope we can fix this.
First time I've been there to an inspection with our VW Atlas Cross Sport and I was thrilled with the service and the professionality of the Service Department. Susan the Dept. Manager and James the Service Advisor at Bridgewater Volkswagen went above and beyond to get an exceptional customer service. The little video they make from the maintenance service is very unique and I loved it. Thank you so much and keep up the exceptional service.
Worked with Taylor on a Golf R, was great. Had a clear cut deal no added fluff and made the process of purchasing and trading in simple. Had a couple minor issues with the car after purchase and they replaced them without hesitation.
Not recommended for diesel vehicles. I brought my car in for a diagnostic, but the process felt like guesswork rather than proper troubleshooting. In the end, I was told the results were “inconclusive,” yet I was still charged several hundred dollars and left with the same unresolved issue. They also recommended and installed parts that turned out to be unrelated to the problem, which added unnecessary costs. Based on my experience, their expertise with diesel engines seems limited to non existing. They brought me in for five visits to find an issue and still couldn’t figure it out. What was most disappointing was the customer service. When I raised concerns about the charges and misdiagnosis, the service manager’s response was simply, “take your keys and don’t come back.” That level of dismissiveness and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Overall, a frustrating and costly experience with no resolution.
Dealing with Senna was a joy. As a former VW trained mechanic he is definitely the go-to guy about all things in the cabin as well as under the hood. He was exceptionally professional, thorough and prepared throughout our interactions over a 2025 Atlas. It was only when our work/cargo needs changed that we pivoted away from needing such a large SUV and downsized to a compact from another manufacturer. He even returned our call after leaving a message that we had gone elsewhere and thanked us for our comments. He is an exceptional young man and we would highly recommend him to anyone as your VW point of contact. A credit to his employer and, moreover, his family. Thank you Senna. Phil & Rita.
