I started texting with a sales rep Jorge, went over basic info, and share how my lease was almost up and was looking into an Odyssey for the business. Every question he asked I went ahead and answered it. I was never asked however about my credit score or if I was contemplating a down payment. The only question I found relevant was at the end of our conversation if I wanted to lease or finance and what I wanted a payment to roughly be at. When I finally have a moment to sit down to talk to the rep he shares how excited he was that he had solid number for me. Well those numbers where the equivalent of charging over 90k for a 48k - 51k vehicle. I am not sure if the expectations are for customers not to do the math. Upon bringing it up and asking why would I pay almost double for the vehicle, the poor response was reveling and concerning on where they moral compass is at. I was told " I don't control the numbers the managers do and I should know how the game is going back and forth" I am a business owner, and hearing that "The manager put the numbers" came across as unethical and dishonest" like if they are trying to maximize their profits regardless no matter the cost. I honestly could not do business with people that strive to take advantage of their customers. I am sure they have some positive people there. Ask questions and don't be afraid to confront them if you don't feel comfortable with what you are being told. Make sure you are 100% sure and comfortable making a buying decision before you sign.

Mr. Luis Lopez was great! Prior to purchasing my vehicle with Honda I had bought 3 vehicles at Payne in Brownsville and my experience there was TOTALLY different than my experience at Brownsville Honda. You would think being a repeat customer at Payne Volkswagen they’d treat you better but sadly that was not the case. The staff at Brownsville Honda went above and beyond for me and got me the best deal they could get us. I’m very happy with my purchase and I highly recommend this dealership. The customer service there is EXCEPTIONAL. Mr. Lopez even installed my little ones car seat!
