The Brunswick staff were generally polite, but they were dismissive of legitimate concerns. Had I not been under a time constraint, I likely would have walked out. Any one of these issues alone might have been overlooked, but the cumulative experience prompted this review. Subaru Certified Pre-Owned vehicles are required to pass a 152-point inspection. Several checklist items were missed: Coolant and windshield washer fluid were not filled (both well below acceptable levels) Multiple poorly executed paint-marker touch-ups, color mismatched and lacking clear coat, with some areas down to bare metal and others covering dents up to approximately 1 inch. Radio subscription was not activated Two ~6-inch gouges on the center console display Minor underside corrosion (understandable for the region) Provided CPO paperwork at delivery did not match the inspection form used to certify the vehicle (different checklist/revision). Additionally, the title paperwork took over two hours, adding to an already frustrating delivery process. The biggest issue was how dismissive the sales staff were regarding the two large screen scratches, referring to them as “normal wear.” Had this not been a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, I might agree—but certification carries a premium and specific expectations. The car itself is fine, but corners were clearly cut in the certification process, which raises concerns about non-visible items such as battery condition, software updates, and safety checks. Only one key was provided at delivery, and I am still awaiting the second. The infotainment screen remains visibly gouged despite an attempted fix that required pressure on my part, and the coolant and washer fluid were only topped off after I raised the issue. Finally, there was an unaddressed slip hazard at the side entrance where I nearly fell twice, and I observed others slipping as well. For a standard used vehicle, this might have been acceptable. For a Certified Pre-Owned Subaru at a premium price, it was not. The dismissive attitude was disappointing. Additional update (1/5): The window auto-reverses and retracts halfway during the closing operation and was not identified during the initial inspection process.

I was very unhappy with the sales department. Ray did not seem like he wanted to sell me a car at all. I requested online to test drive a 2025 outback, and received a text from someone named Hannah confirming the dealership received my inquiry, specifically noting that I had requested a 2025 Outback, and that someone would be in touch to schedule an appointment. I made my appointment with Ray, and when I got there I test drove the Outback, which I was only informed after the test drive was not a 2025 model but the new redesigned 2026 model. If they had just said up front they no longer had any 2025 models in stock but I could try a 2026, I'd have still been glad to come out to test drive it, but when I get there and they don't tell me I'm test driving a totally different (and more expensive) car than what I requested, it comes across a bit like a bait and switch. After handing me the keys to the car Ray disappeared for at least half an hour. When I got back from my first test drive, I waited for 10 minutes, before I had to ask a different associate to move the plates over to the forester that I also wanted to test drive. When I got back from the second test drive, another salesman had to go track down Ray because he'd been gone so long getting my trade-in evaluated. When he finally came back, he gave me a low-ball offer on my trade in (About $3k below KBB's trade in estimate and about $8k below what they could resell it for), and when I told him I'd love to try to get a better offer, he wasn't even willing to entertain the idea of negotiating a price, basically just told me the car I wanted was out of my price range and my trade in was worthless. At that point I informed Ray I wasn't interested in buying the car, and left. A few days later I drove home my new 2026 Outback Limited XT which I got a great deal on from Subaru North Olmsted, where the sales staff actually want to sell cars. I'm sure Ray was just having an off day or something, but the attitude he had and total lack of communication before and during my appointment did not make me want to give him any of my money.

Very easy leasing process and the sales reps here are great. They helped me find the model and color I wanted and I'm extremely happy to be back in a Subaru. This is my fourth Subaru and second WRX. I ordered a few accessories and the parts department was very friendly, helpful to get the parts I wanted, and their communication is great when they come in stock and are ready for pickup. I hear good things about their service department and will probably be ordering tires for the new car sometime in the next few months in preparation for winter.

The members of the service department were unprofessional, rude, and openly discussed what their individual payout rates were on my repairs (as an excuse as to why the car was left with repair shop dirt and glass all over the car. There is only pay for “the service”, “not cleaning”). It’s well known the upcharge on labor that dealerships charge, so in return quality service on all ends is expected. I’d like to know the pay rates that workers in other service fields receive for cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend new Subaru owners find other service shops/mechanics in the area after their warranty coverages/ free services expire.

simply put… if you want a Subaru or any car for that matter go to Brunswick Subaru! car buying/leasing is pretty much my least favorite thing. Courtney made the process easy, comfortable and no bullshit. Pardon my language but it was hassle free from the start. Highly recommend!!!
