Truck was dirty was never detailed slime from the truck sitting under a tree. Two days after having the truck, the transmission is shifting funny, and then the oil light and fuel filter light come on not good not good at all. So much for a low mile truck!
I had a very disappointing experience with Bud Clary Subaru while trying to purchase a 2012 Toyota Prius. I live about 5 hours away, so I was trying to handle as much of the deal online as possible since I would not be able to come in person until Sunday. I worked with Hung Giap and initially asked if they could hold the vehicle for me. I was told they could not, which I understood. Because I was serious about purchasing the car, I decided to move forward anyway. Hung sent me a credit application, which I completed. After that, he called me and said they actually could hold the vehicle for me until Sunday and that we would complete the paperwork in person when I arrived. I told him I was willing to finalize the paperwork sooner if needed, but he insisted it should be done in person on Sunday. He then told me he would put a “Sold” sign on it and that the vehicle was mine. The next day, around 4:00 PM, Hung texted me and said the car had been sold. I texted back asking what happened and received no response. I then called the dealership and was told the manager who was involved in the deal would call me back. I am still waiting for that call. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I am in urgent need of a reliable car for my pregnant wife, as we are currently sharing one vehicle, and I thought we had an agreement in place. I understand dealerships need to sell cars, but telling a customer a vehicle is being held, saying it is “sold,” and then selling it to someone else with little explanation is not how customers should be treated. This experience left a very bad impression, and I would be hesitant to do business with this dealership again. UPDATE: I got a call from another sales rep named George, he apologized for the situation but basically said the original sales rep (Hung Giap) did not complete a step in the process and therefore the car was not officially mine yet. The sales rep Hung nor the working manager on this deal ever apologized for this. They delegated the apology to another sales person to relay to me and all that was said was a team meeting would occur so this wouldn't happen in the future... Hopefully this gets corrected and no one else has this happen to them.
The entire Subaru team were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional, and made car buying a fun and pleasant experience. Jobe is very knowledgeable and helpful. Just a great guy all around.
We went in to test drive a used outback and left with a brand new one. Hung was by far the best salesman I have ever worked with. He felt genuine and personable. We laughed a lot too, which is a bonus. If I'm ever looking for another Subaru I'll be calling Hung!
I had a great experience at this dealership! My sales person Tim was by far the easiest sales guy I have ever dealt with in all my years of buying vehicles. My interactions with him were quick, professional, and no nonsense. Although I had to wait a minute for the finance guy because it was a busy Saturday, he also knew what he was doing and got me in and out of there as quickly as possible, which I highly appreciate. Buying a car is always a lengthy process, but I feel this dealership made it as painless as possible, with kind employees in addition. I would definitely shop here again if ever in need of another new Subaru!
