# Summary The dealership has drawn criticism for undisclosed vehicle issues and poor customer service, including failing to mention missing key fobs and transmission problems at the time of sale, as well as unmet service commitments. Multiple customers report feeling misled about vehicle conditions, unresponsive management, and experiencing hostile interactions with staff members.
Bought a 2024 Subaru Outback used from Carson City Toyota. When all of the paperwork was done and I was ready to leave I asked for the second key fob. That is when they first said or indicated that here was not a second fob. They wanted to charge me for the second fob. Factory key fobs are $450 and that should have been mentioned early in the process. I had an option for another Subaru elsewhere that I would have purchased. I consider the operation dishonest and deceitful because they had the opportunity to correct an honest if it was that. I filled out the contact form on the Dock Campagni Auto Group website to explain the issue and after three weeks I have never heard from them. I would drive to Reno before ever dealing with this group.
Took my truck in For rear breaks and my five thousand mile servicing. Dropped it off at 8 AM. Was back at 430 to find out it wasn't completed yet. And that they wanted to keep it overnight. They tried to tell me that I was told it would take 2-3 days to complete. Service manager threatened me with physical violence. Because I was angry, my truck wasn't done. I did get upset with the service advisors. Because I wasn't told these facts in the beginning. And it's my work truck. Had to make my appointment six weeks in advance to get the work done and it wasn't done as scheduled
Went to Carson City Toyota Scion a couple weeks ago with hopes of finding a good reliable car. Big mistake. Looked at a couple vehicles. Ended up buying a 2010 Nissan Rogue. Salesman said it was reliable, but boy was he wrong. The next day I began having problems with the acceleration, losing power when going uphill multiple times. I don't trust driving it for any long distance because of these issues. Went back to inform them of the issues and the sales manager drove it around town saying everything is fine and it drives great. "I would drive it to Florida," he said. I started researching similar complaints, most having the exact same problems as I'm having. Many have had transmissions replaced at a very high cost. I was never informed that the transmission as well as power problems. I was also not informed of the (2) recalls of this vehicle electrical wise which have had led to fires in the system. I would be very cautious when dealing with Carson City Toyota.
