Here’s the deal. I have been looking to trade into a new vehicle for about a year. I’ve done all the research against models similar in size to the Volvo XC-90. I was torn between it, and the Acura MDX advance. This past weekend I went to go test drive the Acura after previously renting a Volvo for a weekend and let’s just say my experience was terrible with the dealership in Tallahassee. So I’m in Verizon, and the sales guy tells me to call Tyler at Volvo. I get Tyler on the phone, and I tell him my trade details, and what I’m looking for in a Volvo. He asks me several questions about my taste, what I like and don’t like. I tell him I’ll be there in an hour. I pull in the parking lot and the most beautiful cobalt blue Volvo XC-90 is waiting for me to test drive. I still walked the parking lot just to be sure I didn’t want something else, and I even test drove a CPO. I ended up purchasing the Volvo that Tyler picked for me based on ONE phone call. We did not know each other. Every question I asked him, he knew the answer and didn’t stumble through the sale. Working with the finance manager, and the sales manager was so easy too. There was no back and forth, I got exactly what I asked for and I couldn’t be happier. I’m so thankful to Capital Volvo and Tyler!!! I will be a repeat customer and refer!

We had an extremely frustrating experience with Capital Volvo Tallahassee. From the beginning, it felt like we were getting a complete runaround. Over the course of 4 days, we received inaccurate finance sheets multiple times—with incorrect taxes and totals—and it was surprisingly difficult to get clear, consistent information. Communication was also a major issue. It was very hard to get a call back, and we often had to chase updates ourselves just to move things forward. Despite being fully approved and ready to put 50% down, we were stuck waiting on a corrected final finance sheet. On Saturday morning at 9am, our salesman told us he wasn’t busy and would send the corrected finance sheet right away so we could send over payment and complete the purchase. After waiting for hours and trying to follow up, we ultimately received a text message saying the car had been sold while we were waiting. We even asked about another vehicle, but management showed little interest in making the situation right. We ended up purchasing through Volvo Cars North Miami, and the experience was completely different—seamless, accurate, responsive, and professional from start to finish. The numbers were correct the first time, communication was clear, and the entire process was quick and easy (including delivery). If you’re considering Capital Volvo Tallahassee, be aware—it was unnecessarily difficult to get basic information or complete a purchase. We highly recommend Volvo North Miami instead. It’s absolutely worth the small delivery fee.
