# Summary The dealership receives consistent praise for exceptional customer service, with multiple customers highlighting staff members who were personable, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure satisfactory purchases and follow-up support. However, one customer raised concerns about a 3% credit card processing fee that was charged on their invoice, which they noted may conflict with California law; while management promptly refunded the fee when contacted, the customer pointed out this issue should be addressed proactively rather than requiring customer complaints.

I was looking for a new vehicle and haven't always had the best experiences. Claire (sales person) made me super comfortable right from the get-go. She was very personable, kind, and and even had the vehicles I was interested in brought right to the front of the store for me. I would definitely do business with her again. David in finance was also very friendly and made the entire transaction seamless! Cardinale better hold onto these two gems!

Lupe went above and beyond, and we went home with a vehicle we both love and know we will have many adventures with! We both really appreciate you, Lupe, and the team! Edit: Not only did my spouse get a new vehicle with his trade-in, but the next day, so did I! Of course, I went straight with Lupe and couldn't have been happier. Thank you again to you, Lupe, and the whole team for all your hard work!

Amazing service they were super sweet and helpful. My dad was able to get his new truck which was a TRX ram. If you’re looking for an amazing deal, I highly recommend visiting this dealership.

Steve Rimer and David Escobar were the perfect team to get me into my dream car! I felt like a VIP when I went in and was treated like family. They graciously worked with me until we found the perfect vehicle for me and my fur baby, and even answered my questions days after when I didn’t know how to work some of the new tech! 100% recommend to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle.

I want to share a balanced experience regarding a recent visit to Cardinal Way Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. During our service, a 3% credit card processing fee was added to our invoice, about $56. This raised concern, as California law, specifically California Civil Code § 1748.1, has long drawn a clear distinction regarding surcharges on credit card transactions. I took the time to reach out and respectfully discuss this with management, including clarifying the difference between a surcharge and what is sometimes referred to as a “convenience fee.” A true convenience fee is generally intended for rare or alternative payment methods outside a business’s normal course of operations. In today’s economy, however, credit cards, digital wallets, and electronic payments are the standard, not the exception. To their credit, management was receptive and promptly refunded the 3% fee, which I genuinely appreciate. That level of responsiveness speaks well to their customer service. That said, it should not require a customer to raise the issue in order to have a fee reversed. Policies like this should be addressed proactively so all customers are treated fairly from the outset. I will also note that this does not appear to be an isolated concern. A number of other customers have mentioned this same 3% fee in reviews. Many are reacting because it simply does not feel fair, and that instinct is understandable. What most may not realize is that this type of charge raises compliance concerns under California guidelines, and consumers have the option to address it directly with the business or report it to the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation for review. More broadly, passing along credit card processing fees directly to customers is difficult to justify in today’s environment. These fees are part of a business’s contractual obligations with payment processors and, like rent, payroll, and utilities, are typically considered a cost of doing business. Consumers should not be penalized for using the most common and widely accepted form of payment. Especially in a time when the cost of living continues to rise, even small additional charges can feel like unnecessary added strain. Businesses that incorporate their operating costs into their pricing, and prioritize transparency, demonstrate a stronger commitment to customer trust. I appreciate the resolution provided in our case and hope this feedback encourages a thoughtful review of the policy moving forward.
