# Summary The dealership receives mixed reviews, with customers praising quick service turnaround, warranty handling, and professional customer service on positive visits, while others report significant organizational issues, poor communication, rude staff interactions, and quality control problems including damaged parts and incomplete work. Experiences range from exceptional satisfaction to frustration with disorganization, lack of accountability, and failure to complete work during scheduled appointments.
My visit was for an oil change for my C8 Camaro. The guys took care of me right away, even though I had to reschedule from an earlier appointment, they quickly got me in service was fantastic! My next appointment has already been scheduled. The service was streamlined, and they found another problem that they took care of right away under Warranty! Call Black is my referral recommendation for my friends and family from this point forward!
Brought my truck in due to the vacuum pump for the brakes failing. This was a recall that damaged my front brakes and rotors. I also asked for an oil change, spark plug change, and tire pressure sensor replacement. Tim the service advisor was beyond rude during every interaction and never updated me on the status of the repairs unless he was calling to try to get me to pay for another service they "recommended". When they wanted to replace the front struts they wanted to rebuild or use quick struts on an ltz z71 package. When I asked for OEM brand new parts Tim acted like it was such a hassle. Finally I had to pay for brakes and rotors and all the rest and when I went to pick up my truck I found the front tires caked Ina nasty soap like substance and even brought the director Kyle and the sales manager out to look at it. Their solution bring it in another day when their detail shop is open. Driving home something didnt feel right and whe. I opened my hood I heard a spark plug clearly firing. Found they had damaged two boots and they wont sit back on the spark plugs. In addition after looking under the hood I also found a long bolt laying at the bottom of the engine bay and I have no idea what they took it out of. I need to take this truck out of town for the holiday weekend and now I will have to rent a car.
Truthfully, the service I get is always subpar. They do the job, but they seem to be very disorganized. I will drop off my car for a tire rotation, and it will be three hours. I call them to check status on my car, and only then am I informed that my car is done. On another appointment, I had a trouble code on my car, so I made an appointment, and by the time of the appointment, the notification on my dash was gone. So, when I was at the service desk, I was informed that because I didn't have a notification on my dash that it would be impossible to diagnose the issue even though my husband had pulled the code and documented it. My appointment was on a Thursday and I was informed that they would have to keep the car for a week, and would only look at my car on Monday. If they won't even look at it until Monday, what was my Thursday appointment even for? What is the point of making an appointment if you don't do any of the actual work until the following week anyway? I stated that this was ridiculous and if I got the code again I would bring the car in. I was driving home and I got a phone call asking if I was on my way in for my appointment. I had to inform them that I had already been there and explain the situation. They are so disorganized and overrun. Even when I dropped my car off, there was a long line to get the car into the service camera machine. I waited 15 minutes just to get my car through the machine. They just seem to have people standing around, and they seem confused that they have to move cars out of the way to get more cars in for service appointments. On another past visit, there was a big problem finding my keys because one individual organizes the keys differently than another. Their biggest issues are lack of communication with customers, and organization. The customer experience here is very uncomfortable. All service individuals should be able to help the customer and be able to access the customer's information, not just a single person that nobody seems to be able to find. Most of the time, my service representative is not available, and the people who are available can't access my information, so they can't help me.
Well!! Let me tell you. There is that saying: we exceed your expectations. I am 75 years old and have owned a few cars and have hade service done in lots of different cities, BUT the service received from Carl Black Chevrolet has by fare been the BEST!!! My wife and I were traveling from Ohio in our new Corvette and wanted to have some recalls taken care of along with oil change. While there I asked them to take a look at a concern I hade with the drivers side seat and wondered if the warranty would take care of it. We both agreed probably not. They had warranty people look at it like they said they would, emagine that. They recovered the seat, but in doing so a clip on the cushion broke. It was going to take a few days to take care of but, they gave us a loaner car to use. When we did pick the car up I couldn't be more satisfied! I told the owner that there is no doubt the next car we buy will be from them.
Excellent experience with the entire team. The process was professional, fast, and very transparent. I have purchased two vehicles with them, and I definitely recommend them for their outstanding customer service and commitment. Well-deserved five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
