# Summary The dealership receives polarized feedback, with some customers praising specific staff members for patient, knowledgeable service and smooth transactions, while others report significant issues including unprofessional sales tactics, delayed paperwork processing, missing vehicle titles, unfavorable financing rates, unpaid trade-in loans, and poor responsiveness to customer inquiries. Multiple negative reviews cite frustration with the same salesperson and describe experiences they characterize as illegitimate business practices.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Car Nova, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of the salesperson, David. From start to finish, the process was frustrating and felt like my time and business were not valued. I initially came in to look at a specific vehicle. We test drove the car, and I came fully prepared—I was prequalified through Capital One Auto Finance with a reference number in hand. Instead of helping move the deal forward, David repeatedly told me, “If I were you, I wouldn’t get this car,” for no clear reason, almost as if he was trying to push me away from the vehicle. Once inside to discuss paperwork, he aggressively pushed me to use the dealership’s banks, insisting he could match or beat my Capital One rate. I made it very clear that I preferred to stick with Capital One. He then told me to come back the next day because it was Sunday and “everything was closed.” On Monday, before making the hour-and-a-half drive, I called and texted David—no response. When I arrived, I asked for him and saw him sitting at his desk with no customers. He went to get the keys, returned laughing, and said, “Do you want the good news or the bad news?” The “bad news” was that the car I came for had been sold 10 minutes earlier. At this point, I was already frustrated but tried to continue the process by looking at a Range Rover. I asked him to run my credit, but instead he kept pushing a soft inquiry and insisted on a test drive I did not want. When I asked if there was any flexibility on the $29,000 price—especially since a nearly identical vehicle was listed for $24,000 just 8 miles away—he dismissed it without consulting anyone. I ultimately took my business elsewhere. I’ve never experienced a dealership where a salesperson seemed so unwilling to sell a car. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Car Nova based on this experience.

If I could give 0 stars then I would. I have had the worst experience buying a vehicle through Carnova. They seem so illegitimate, and I don’t know how they’re still in business. First I went back and forth driving to the dealership 4 different times to fill out paperwork and give my deposit check. I was being very helpful and understanding with everything taking as long as it did to get everything in order. Then I was finally able to pick up the car 2 weeks after giving my deposit, all to find out they didn’t have the title, so it sat in my driveway for another 2 weeks and I was unable to drive it because you can’t register a vehicle without a title. I called them and texted my dealer, David, daily to find out what was going on, and there was little response back. They had my money so it seemed like they didn’t really care whether I could drive the car or not. Now, I’m trying to refinance the awful loan they gave me. I have a 782 credit score and they offered me a loan with a 9.6% interest rate. You can’t bring outside loans so you HAVE to take whatever they offer you and then refinance as soon as you can. My bank is telling me they’ll give me 5.5% interest rate (what a difference!) but there’s only one major problem… CARNOVA NEVER PAID OFF THE OTHER BANK when I traded in my car. I gave them $13k, and $8k should have gone to that pay off. What did they do with my money?!? I’m still in the process of dealing with this and I really need to report them to the attorney generals office. Trust me… you do not want to buy a car through this company!! **Just wanted to add to this as a follow up: the manager admitted to not paying off the loan on my old vehicle, and that he owed me almost $600 because I was now paying for two loans. They said they would send the check out immediately. Two weeks later and no check. READ THE REVIEWS!! You have to know if there are that many people saying “WORST EXPERIENCE EVER” that the 5 star reviews are coming from inside the company and friends to get their overall rating up. This place is the absolute worst. I just pray my vehicle doesn’t fall apart like the other bad reviews shared.

I set up an appointment Sunday to test drive a car for today at 10am. I even messaged this morning to make sure it was ready to test drive today and the car was still stuck inside the building instead of outside. I drove an hour to come and test drive the car and it was still sitting inside the dealership. Then we were told it was a hassle to get the car out. So we just left cause we were on a time crunch, I came an hour to drive a car it should of been ready to go I even double checked to make sure it was and never got a response back. That should have been my first sign not to go.
