This past week my wife and I finalized the purchase of a new 2026 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid AWD Calligraphy trim from Cavenaugh Hyundai in Hot Springs. We started by researching the 2026 model 3-row SUVs via Consumer Reports, Car & Driver and other rating services. The Hybrid Palisade came out as our choice. Naturally Cavenaugh was the place we started because the dealership is only 0.8 of a mile from our house, and my wife's sister had a good buying experience a few years back through salesman Eric Berkey. At the time, the Palisade was in a nationwide "stop sale" because of some needed safety software updates. I used this time to look all over the country for the interior/exterior color combination my wife wanted. These were very had to locate, and when I did, the dealers were unable to talk to me because of the stop sale. And when able to talk, there were the unfortunate "bait and switch" attempts in neighboring states, but when Eric called saying he had located "the car," there was none of that nonsense. Cavenaugh presented a fair price, one that showed they were interested in my business without any hanky-panky, thus we quickly made a deal. It took several days to get the car, again, because of the effects of the stop sale. Everyone at Cavenaugh was there to help, especially Eric, but also Cody, Mike, Ann and Kaiden. And while it was just logical that I would purchase from Cavenaugh living almost next door, they earned the business, which as a former business owner, I appreciated very much. Of course, they will have to continue to earn the business as the technology on the new Palisade is out of this world and being so close to the dealership will make it easy for me to stop by and get someone to explain things such as how to start the car!!!!
