They were alwats clear abput prices, listened to my budget, and told me about when one car I wanted to test drive suddenly had concerns. Let me tell you need to go to checker flag and get you car. These guys are the best. Buyer Beware... If you need creative financing, tread carefully here. My credit wasn’t terrible, just thin, with only one account reporting, which meant my FICO scores were low. I came in with a 30% down payment on a 7-year-old vehicle listed at $15,499, so I expected a high interest rate, but not what felt predatory. The APR I was quoted was over 20%. On top of that, I was told a 2-year warranty costing $2,700 was “required by the bank” for approval. Then GAP insurance was added for another $900, again saying it was required by the bank. By the end, I would have been paying around $19,000 for a vehicle that was listed at $15,499 and not even in pristine condition. What bothered me most was the lack of honesty. Banks generally do not require a warranty as a condition of financing, and while GAP insurance can sometimes be required, that usually applies when the loan amount exceeds the vehicle’s value, which did not make sense here with 30% down. Even then, GAP coverage does not have to be purchased through the dealership. Had everything been presented honestly and clearly from the start, they would have effortlessly earned my business. In the end, my search for a straightforward and honest pre-owned dealer continues.
