Checkered Flag MINI

Wow, such a great experience with purchasing our new car (Mini Countryman). Jacob was such a huge help, and super friendly. Made the whole process so easy and painless. He even offered to pick me up from the airport but I had delays so that did not work out. Found our car online and reached out to the dealership. Never felt pressured for anything and they explained everything in non-confusing terms. Cannot say enough how great these guys (and gals) were to work with. I flew in, arrived, and they had everything ready for me to sign (after checking the car out in person). Then I zipped back home (couple states away) and delivered my daughter's new car (which she loves). If looking for a Mini, would highly recommend getting from these guys, they had so many options to choose from!

Where do I start? I knew I wanted a new vehicle, but I had been hesitant to visit a dealership. In the past, I've had bad experiences with pushy salespeople who made me feel pressured to buy something or constantly tried to upsell me. When a friend decided they wanted to buy my current vehicle, I knew it was time to start test-driving and see if a MINI was right for me. From the moment I pulled into Checkered Flag MINI, the experience was different. I wasn't immediately surrounded by salespeople trying to sell me a car before I even got out of my vehicle. Instead, I walked into the dealership, looked around for a bit, and was warmly greeted by Denise. She was incredibly polite and helpful. After introducing herself, she simply said to let her know if she could help with anything. I told her I wanted to test-drive a couple of vehicles. Even though the sales team was at lunch, she got me started right away by showing me some options. At no point was she pushy or trying to sell me anything. That's when I knew this was going to be a great experience. Shortly after, Jacob returned from lunch and took over. I was amazed that he was just as relaxed and helpful. He listened to what I was looking for, got everything set up for the test drives, and sent my son and me on our way. I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't need to ride along with us. There were no awkward conversations, no sales pitch, and no attempts to influence my opinion. It was refreshing to simply experience the vehicles for myself. I drove the MINI Cooper first, and while I really liked it, it felt a little small coming from a Toyota Highlander. Then I drove the MINI Countryman—and I absolutely fell in love. It was perfect. I knew right then that it was the vehicle I wanted. Since my friend still needed to test-drive my current vehicle, I told Jacob I would get back to him the next day. When I did, he was able to complete most of the paperwork ahead of time, which made the entire process much faster and easier. When the Uber dropped my son and me off at the dealership to pick up my new vehicle, it was parked out front with a big bow on it. Seeing it there brought tears to my eyes. This was my first brand-new vehicle, and after such an incredible experience from start to finish, the emotions just hit me all at once. This was, without a doubt, the best dealership experience I've ever had. I was nervous going into the process, but everyone at Checkered Flag MINI made it enjoyable, stress-free, and memorable. I recently brought my vehicle back for the interior and exterior cleaning service, and the service department was just as fantastic. Daniel was friendly, professional, and made everything easy. Checkered Flag MINI has earned a customer for life. Thank you to Denise, Jacob, Daniel, and the entire team for making my first new car purchase such a special experience.

Thank you Aali for being so rad! I’m new to NC and getting a new car has been on my to do list - honestly a dreaded item on my list. I loved my Mercedes but it was time and I’d been eyeing the Mini Countryman for a while. They happened to have the exact model I was interested in and the buying and trade-in process was extremely easy. Really pleased through and through.

Found the cutest car online after we lost my previous Mini in a flood last week. Aali made it so easy, we drove down from Durham the next day. She got us better financing than expected and helped us pick out the perfect extended warranty. She walked me through all the new technology and made sure I was good to go before we left the lot with no questions and no problems.
