# Summary The dealership receives mixed reviews, with customers praising individual staff members like Holly, Brianna, Randy, and Sherri Pettit for their helpfulness and efficiency in service and sales. However, multiple customers report significant issues with verbal promises not being honored, poor communication between locations, lack of accountability, and inconsistent follow-through on commitments, particularly regarding trade-in negotiations and service updates.
If you buy a vehicle from here please make sure you do your research and read every piece of paper. Do not take their word for anything. I purchased a Chevy Trax from this dealership in May of 2026. During the purchase I was promised an extra key fob because I turned in two key fobs with my trade in. After a month of trying to check in on the promised key fobs I was dismissed and never given a proper answer. I eventually went in person and was made to wait over an hour for them to tell me they could not provide an extra key fob due to a change in management and it is not in the paperwork. The man that filled out the legal paperwork (Braxton?) promised me it would be in the paperwork and I would get a new fob soon, along with the sale manager at the time (Chris?) standing there. The dealership has offered for me to pay for the key fob for over $200. When I went to speak to the new sales manager they did not allow me to talk directly to them only relaying messages through my sales representative. The communication of this place is completely disappointing. I will not be purchasing a vehicle from this dealership again due to the lying of my trade in value, the poor communication, and not holding up their end of verbal agreements.
Im extremely disappointed with the level of service I received from Cannon Ford in both West Point and Starkville. I purchased my vehicle from the West Point location in February 2023. When my car became inoperable, I followed instructions from their team to have it towed there. After arrival, I was issued a loaner vehicle, completed all required paperwork, and received management approval. Shortly after, I was informed that my vehicle would be transferred to the Starkville location due to the lack of a Ford specialist in West Point. I was told I would receive an update the same day; however, no one contacted me. I had to repeatedly call Starkville myself, only to be placed on hold for extended periods or told that no one had information regarding my vehicle. Eventually, I spoke with a staff member who acknowledged my situation and advised that I could keep the loaner due to the delay and lack of available vehicles in Starkville. Later that same day, I received conflicting communication stating that I needed to return the loaner immediately because my vehicle was not under warranty—something that was already known prior to the loaner being issued. There was also a clear breakdown in communication, as incorrect information was relayed regarding my ability to pay for repairs, which was never stated by me. As of today, I have made multiple attempts to get updates on my vehicle with little to no success. I have experienced long hold times, lack of accountability, and inconsistent communication between locations. The only reliable communication I have received has been from the West Point service manager. This experience has been extremely frustrating and inconvenient, especially as a customer with children who depends on reliable transportation. I expected a higher level of professionalism, coordination, and customer care. I hope this issue is addressed so that future customers do not experience the same level of confusion and poor communication.
I took my 2022 Dodge 2500 tradesman in for a particle filter blockage I was told by the mechanic that I would need to have a fuel sample done and to check the turbo to see if it was leaking oil I opt out of that and told him just to change the particle filter I sat there Friday then one of the sensors the threads got messed up on it from my experience it looks exactly like it was cross threaded in but I had to pay for it anyway. But on the brighter side Holly kept me updated on all work she was very nice and helpful and when.I went to check out Brianna stepped up to the plate and knocked a home run thank you girls
I had a great experience with Randy from the Parts Department at Cannon -West Point. I had no radio reception in my 2025 Buick Envision. Randy was able to resolve the issue expeditiously and and put me back on my way in no time. Thank you for your service.
I would recommend Mrs Sherri Pettit from Cannon Motors of West Point and the rest of the team! When I say they got me in the vehicle I wanted, they did just that!! I’m totally satisfied ❤️❤️
