# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for its sales experience, with customers consistently highlighting professional and patient salespeople who facilitate smooth transactions and good deals. However, service department operations face significant criticism, with complaints about long wait times, scheduling issues, reluctance to accommodate walk-in customers, and quality control problems in both routine maintenance and collision repair.
Great experience buying my new Elantra! Tevin, my sales person, was professional, knowledgeable, patient and in no way pushy. My parents have owned two Hyundai and highly recommended them to me. Price down, trade-in up and a smooth buying experience. I've gotten lots of compliments on how my good my car looks.
I just traded my car in and bought a new Tucson. Every single person I worked with from sales to service to finance were professional, friendly, and helpful. Taryn, my salesman, was extremely informative and patient with my decision-making. If it weren’t for him, I might not have left with a car that day.
I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and had a very wonderful experience. The dealership was very clean, had plenty of snacks and beverages for customers while waiting(we all know how long the buying process is), there were plenty of vehicle options, the salesman was very friendly, knowledgeable, very helpful in working out the best deal. I left with a great deal on my new ride. If you’re looking for a car, I highly recommend checking out this dealership and I recommend asking for Jeremy Hess. Really great salesman. Thank you to Chris Crain for the wonderful experience.
I have had several complaints about Crain. I live in Russellville, Arkansas. It takes me 45 minutes to get here. Today, May 4th, 2026, I made an appointment for my oil to be changed. The appointment was supposed to be at 1 o'clock this afternoon, and I have had to wait three hours, which is ridiculous. Other customers here were complaining about this place. They need to do better about that. The girl told me it was almost done, and after 20 minutes, I asked her how long it would be. She said another 30 minutes when she had already said it was almost done. I have been here several times to have my car worked on. I've had to wait some, but didn't make it a big deal. My family and I have been longtime customers at Cogswells in Russellville. I decided for a change to try Crain. In November 2024, I decided to change and purchase a new 2024 black Hyundai Elantra. Since then, I've had to have two windshields due to cracks. I have never had that problem with any vehicles I had. I don't know if the product is cheap or what, but that's been very disappointing. On May 19, 2025, someone backed into and hit my car, damaging the front of it. I picked the Crain collision center on Dave Ward in Conway to fix it. I could have picked any place I wanted, but I wanted to do it at the place I purchased at. I assumed they would do a really good job. After a week of fixing my vehicle, I noticed the front was not fixed, and I was upset. They told me to bring it in, and it turned out they didn't do a recheck to make sure my vehicle was fixed. The manager who was running the collision center, whose name I forgot, told me they had fired an employee that messed up people's vehicles, and I was very upset. So, they gave me a loan vehicle - a red SUV with a cracked windshield - which I would have to drive for a few days. I asked if they couldn't call for another rental for me to borrow instead of that, and they said no, that's the only vehicle they could loan me from the collision center. I think they could do a lot better with customer service. Sadly, I think I will go back to Cogswell when I get my next vehicle because it seems like they don't care about customer service. I told people about it at the dealership after it got fixed and showed a man pictures about the collision experience because I figured the owners would want to know, but I couldn't figure out a way to get a hold of anybody. I hope they do better and make changes. The daytime pictures I posted were when my car was damaged and the pictures at night time is where I noticed Crain collision center messed up the front You can see the silver rods they didn’t do it, correct
I have purchased two cars here and never will again. The first time was with a sales rep that MADE Crain Hyundai what it used to be known for - quality service. Now, it’s nothing but worthless service technicians/managers who refuse to want to help. They will never give you a straight price during the buying process like they did with my partner. We were in a crunch to get them a car due to travel arrangements so we reluctantly proceeded to purchase a car with them. Recently, I went in as a walk in to get an oil change with no rush. I was willing to wait. They said they don’t walk ins. So I scheduled an appointment and then they didn’t have it in their system under my name so they couldn’t service me that time either. Then another time one of our Hyundais did an OTA (Over the Air) update. It caused all of the sound in the car, including blinkers and cross traffic alerts, to be silenced. We were headed on a trip to Texas so we walked in to ask if there was ANYTHING they could do since we were heading out to a trip the following day to Texas. Clearly it would be a hazard to drive a car with no audio notifications. They laughed, said they don’t accept walk ins and that the reason we never get service is because we attempt to do a walk in. We all have busy schedules and I never expect priority with a walk in but sometimes that all I have. Considering we have a free oil change package, there might be a reason they don’t want to help since they get no additional money. They laughed and we left angrily. I called the manager and he said that I was lying and that his reps would never do that but that he’d pull the video. He proceeded to tell me that Crain Hyundai in Conway is the fastest growing Hyundai dealership, like I cared. I did not. He said he would investigate and get back to me. He never did and to this day I have received no resolve. I ended up driving that same day to the Crain Hyundai in North Little Rock and explained the situation to the technician. He hopped in the car, pressed a couple buttons and fixed it within 1 1/2 minutes. In the time the other service reps/managers spent arguing with me, they could have resolved the issue. Now, I recommend NO ONE to buy OR service your vehicle there. I take mine to North Little Rock Crain Hyundai. They are recently remodeled/remodeling, friendly, fast and are always willing to make sure they can do what is possible within reason. My next Hyundai purchase will be with them.
