# Summary The dealership receives praise for its service department's communication and customer care, with reviewers highlighting attentive staff members who keep customers informed throughout the service process. However, concerns emerge around service efficiency, pricing transparency, installation quality, and inconsistent communication—particularly regarding wait times, recall appointment scheduling, and the completeness of service reports.
I’ve had nothing but great experiences with the Dodge service department. I bring my 2020 Ram 2500 diesel in for regular services, and sometimes just for peace of mind when I think I hear something off. David and Remi have both gone above and beyond every time. The communication and service are top-notch, and what I value most is how Remi consistently keeps me updated throughout the process. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.
I will not be going here in the future. I had to wait 2 weeks for a service recall appointment. That's not bad but I asked how long it might take to install, wondering if I would need a rental. Was told a few hours. Got a call a little after 8 am the day of my 10 AM appointment. Was told the car would have to be held for 5 days. I was not told anything other than I might have to reschedule if I don't have an alternative method of transportation. Was told they would have someone call me later to reschedule. Called a few minutes later asking to speak to a manager. Not available until after 9 am .. cool. Called Yuba. They were able to get me in but my car would be held for a few weeks due to ordering said part. They arranged for a replacement vehicle, that I am not paying for out of pocket, to be delivered to the jeep location. Grabbed my stuff from my car (I had just finished an overnight shift). I've received 5 email confirmations about the appointment time and where to pull into. I don't blame the mechanic. But someone should have followed up. It's a recall. You had two weeks. This is unacceptable. No one ever reached out to me in the end.

My Jeep had a couple of recalls that I had been postponing because of COVID. Once vaccinated, I took my car in to correct the recalls and to have some deferred maintenance performed. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment. Several people were ahead of me, maybe because there was only one service writer on duty for Jeeps. I only had to wait a few minutes when I returned at the time they told me my car would be ready. While correcting the recalls was free, the other services were expensive. $20 each for two windshield wipers. $70 for an air filter. I declined to pay another $70 for the cabin filter. $99 for changing the oil and oil filter. There were a few problems with the services. For one thing, one windshield wiper was loose; it had not been properly installed. I was lucky we're out of the rainy season. Had I used the wipers I believe the loose wiper would have fallen off the car, probably leaving a semi-circuital scratch on the windshield from the metal arm. Another thing, after about 2000 miles the 'Change Oil' warning came on. For oil changes in the past I had always used the Express Lane. That service writer always explained the options for service … did I want synthetic oil? Did I want the tires rotated? Not the same at the main service counter. To be honest, I think they gave me the gold-plated upgrade without explaining what I was getting for my money. Another thing I very much like about the express service is they give me a report on the tread depth on the tires, the air pressure, the thickness remaining on the brake pads, and a few other things. That information helps me keep my car safe and reliable. No such report this time, which was a big disappointment. When I paid, they gave me a coupon for a free car wash at Scrubs but not when I bought my car back in to have the windshield wiper properly installed and to have the Change Oil warning reset, which wasn't done the first time.
I honestly didn't feel like they were trying to sell cars. The salesman, Jeff, was cool. But Chuck? Not cool. At all. Basically told us to go elsewhere. Had a great experience at Chico Nissan!
