Coastal Volkswagen

I recently purchased a used VW id.4 EV from Coastal VW at an attractive price. I was assured repeatedly by the sales manager that the price of the car did NOT include the $3,500 MA EV rebate and that I could claim the rebate after the sale. When I later reviewed my paperwork, I discovered that the price I paid DID include the rebate, and therefore, the dealership could claim the rebate for themselves. So, they lied to me. To make matters worse, when I reached out to the General Manager to voice my concerns, I received no response. It was only after I submitted my initial Google review that I heard back from a different General Manager, and we spoke on the phone. He was pleasant and professional, assuring me that I got a good deal on the car, and stated that Coastal is an honest dealership. I told him that I understood that I got a good deal on the car, but I had been told that the rebate was not included in the price, when in fact it was. I told him what they did was unethical, but not illegal. He apologized but didn't offer any resolution. I've never slammed a business on social media before, but felt that this experience was so egregious that I consider it a public service announcement to warn others. Fortunately, I'm happy with the car!

Evan Chochrek and the team over at Coastal VW were great to work with when purchasing a used Audi Q5 for my daughter. I really appreciated their patience throughout the process, and I’m glad we were able to come to an agreement on the final price. It’s always nice working with a dealership that’s willing to work with you and make a fair deal. Car was professionally cleaned and ready for pickup day ontime. I would certainly use them again.

Called on Friday to confirm the vehicle was still available and told them I'd be there Saturday morning. Evan had everything ready to go when I arrived, got me right out on a test drive, and had already started working up my trade-in while I was driving. Evan was great to work with—straightforward, transparent, and never pushy. Greg made the financing process easy as well. By noon, I had purchased a new 2026 Tiguan. When I picked it up, the car was ready exactly when promised and Evan took the time to walk me through the features and answer any last questions. Easily the best car-buying experience I've had.
