However, some customers have experienced inconsistent service quality, communication gaps, and concerns about whether requested work was completed as specified.
👋🏼 I'm a hot sauce maker in Tucson Arizona. On my way to a hot sauce event back in August 2025, My truck decided to throw a check engine light. Stopped at an O'Reilly Auto Parts to have them scan the truck but of course they couldn't provide accurate information. Called the service department at Corning Chevy and explain that I'm from out of town on my way to Portland and that the truck has decided to throw a check engine light. Even though the service manager (Gary) was literally stepping out the door to do a weekend in the mountains with his family, he told me to bring the truck by. They scanned the vehicle promptly, identifiedbthe problem and since it was a rather easy fix they went ahead and did the repair while we waited. They literally saved out booty... We would have been completely screwed without them. Great people highly recommend.
Erich in the service department was great to work with on a transmission and motor mount claim. He kept the two concerns organized, made sure the details stayed clear for each one, and didn’t let anything get blended together.
Went to get a recall repaired on my pickup and ended up looking at some new trucks. Greg Hogan was great to talk with and he is very knowledgeable about what he sells. No pressure just walked and looked.
I have never felt like such a burden trying to purchase a vehicle. I walked in ready to purchase and had to address staff to be acknowledged. After the staff member begrudgingly helped me. A subsequent staff member was entered the business who was more interest in his fast food breakfast than customer service. Didn’t even acknowledge me on his sales floor. Sadly I will be taking my business elsewhere…
I bought a used truck privately & wanted to get an overall drivetrain inspection & service. I'm disabled & can't get underneath to check anything so I kinda have to take it on faith that they actually did everything. I had some other things I wanted looked into & fixed also. The truck is a few thousand from recommended transmission filter change. I requested it to be changed. They didn't tell me & only because I read everything on the repair receipt, I found that they only did a transmission flush. I can't actually even verify if they actually did the flush but they charged me for it & never made any concessions or anything about not doing what I asked or give me any discount for the screw up except try to smooth me over with something else that they replaced the wiring for free & didn't charge me. No they didn't charge me for wiring but they did charge me the $175 dollars diagnostic/labor fee. How could I trust that they do good work if they screw up one of the main things on my list & make no offers to rectify it. I have no idea if they actually flushed the radiator, changed the tcase & differentials oils or lubed & inspected everything else other than I got charged for it. I thought the service shop was a little unprofessional, at least the managers. I didn't meet the mechanics. I do know that they left all the wire debris from wire stripping & connections on the floorboard & didn't clean out. This is the first vehicle I've been inclined to have it worked on by a dealership rather than just a repair shop but they didn't inspire confidence & I personally most likely will be trying out Whitmeyer Chevrolet when it comes time for its engine oil change or anything else. I really don't know if I should just go ahead & do the trans filter when I hit 150k or not. I supposedly have & paid for all new fresh oil or just let it ride for awhile & do it at 175k or something. New oil doesn't really help if the filter is dirty. Just wanted to share my experience. I had to do all the contacting for updates & to find out when it was "finished". I never received one call in the almost 3 weeks that had it. They are supposed to check in when the get done with a each diagnosis to let me know what they found & if I wanted to proceed with repairs. When I called about a week & a half in they already had some things diagnosed but I got no call, no progress report of when I was going to get my truck back & it was multiple things but I don't think it should of been 3 weeks even with the 2 small parts that needed to be ordered & if it was going to take whatever time to get the parts, they should of called & told me, hey, it's going to take this long for parts etc.
