# Summary The dealership receives starkly contrasting feedback, with exceptional praise for its service department's integrity and professionalism contrasted against significant complaints regarding the used car department's failure to honor written purchase offers and the service department's warranty denial practices and follow-up service failures. Multiple customers report experiencing dismissive treatment, incomplete repairs, and broken promises that have damaged their trust and loyalty.

I know you may think this crazy, but there’s a Service Manager that you can ABSOLUTELY TRUST in honesty, integrity, work that he personally checks & is knowledgeable with decades of experience & is the kindest & most professional all at the same time! Cruz has been doing this for years & was recommended to me by my neighbor who owns two Cadillacs. I have talked to other people who are customers in the waiting room and around the dealership when getting work done on my car or routine maintenance done. Not one person has a negative thing to say and everyone is so grateful for the amazing work that Cruz does. I think he says it best himself in saying “I just try to do the right thing for everyone in the best way possible.” So I highly recommend this place to go and grab a bag of popcorn that is fresh popped, have a cappuccino that is available for free, and experience the exceptional service of Costa Mesa Cadillac and Cruz in true, luxury Cadillac fashion!

If you are buying or selling a car, I would strongly recommend avoiding Ali Diparva and the used car department at Costa Mesa Cadillac. Less than 10 days ago, I received a written purchase offer of $62,500-$63,000 for my vehicle (they reached out to me). I was told twice, in writing, that they would honor that price pending inspection. I had no issue with an inspection because the car is in excellent condition, still has approximately 10,000 miles of factory warranty remaining, had recently been inspected, and not a single mile or any damage had been added since the offer was made. They also told me they were happy to wait for me to get back to them before completing the transaction. Fast forward 10 days and I call to speak with their team and I'm connected with Ali Diparva, the manager. Suddenly, the offer was significantly lower and in now way could they honor the price or get anywhere close. The explanation was that "the market changed" and that Kelley Blue Book values had dropped dramatically in less than 10 days! Nothing about my vehicle changed. Not a mile was added, the condition was identical, and the warranty remained the same. The only thing that changed was their willingness to stand behind the written offer they had already made. If a dealership can make a written offer, confirm it twice, ask you to wait, and then refuse to honor it days later by claiming the market moved, that tells you everything you need to know about how they conduct business. They wasted my time and made representations they ultimately would not stand behind. I live in the area and will never do business with Costa Mesa Cadillac again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, straightforward transaction. A business is only as good as its word, and in my experience, their word meant nothing.

This is review is specifically for the Service Department. Brought the car in due to a fuel smell. Without conducting any testing, they denied warranty claim, citing impact caused by customer to fuel tank and $2000 charge to us. They would not substantiate their claim of customer-caused impact. This is a fairly new vehicle under warranty. Dealing with Sergio, the Service Manager, was not pleasant as he was dismissive and arrogant and would not, initially return my calls until I went to the GM. Got the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) involved. I agreed to the dealer running a test (the one they should have done at the start) and discovered the tank was, in fact, defective. They returned our money but are now withholding $59.03 that was the 3% credit charge from the original charge. I've requested they return ALL of our money but as the BAR is no longer involved, they're back to ignoring us. What is a pity is that we purchased the vehicle from this dealership. After this treatment, we will not again buy from them again. If they'd like to fully reimburse us, I'd update this review. If you take your vehicle for service as they deny warranty, I recommend you don't pick up your vehicle until they prove - with actual evidence - customer negligence, and get the BAR involved.

Paid $10,000.00 plus in repair/labor & my Cadillac was returned to me after a major oil leak repair and transmission replacement with the check engine light on still. That was the red flag. Sergio(Service Mgr.) said, "oh that's ok let me turn it off for you." My Cadillac ATS was not running right and I asked him to test drive with me -he did. We drove for 10-15 minutes and i pointed out the smell of burning oil still he said, "It's probably residual left over from the leak." My response was, "your mechanics did not clean it to make sure the leak is fully not back? How did he know?" Now not even 2 months later the same leak is back and apparent. Car smells still and I bought it back to fix per the warranty of the recent repair for the oil leak. I was told, "This is a different oil leak and we can give you a good price on the repair and we will give you a loaner you do not have to worry about renting another car." "This is not what I expect from Cadillac - this is why I bring my car to the dealer, you guys misdiagnosed the leak and you guys need to repair my leak please, it is the same leak ." was my response. He declined to even work something out with me. I also asked why his Master mechanic would have released my car in the first place with the check engine light on ? He did not have an answer. I asked for corporate number please to complain - "nobody knows it "I was told by Sergio and by Cruz. I will continue to address this issue as best I can and I am saddened because I love my Cadillac and was planning on buying a second one for my wife. This is not what Cadillac should represent and I hope I can get resolve.

Leased a Cadillac Lyric Sport 2 in May 2025. The sales experience went great. Today I needed service as the car started hard breaking in the middle of rush hour traffic. One of the reasons I leased a premium car was due to the premium service, loaners, pick up, and so on. Today when I reached out, I am having issues getting the car in in a timely manner, and am now being told they no longer do loaner vehicles and I would be sent over to their enterprise partnership. This is honestly not what I signed up for and purchased. While i don't like the offerings being downgraded in such a short seven month widow. More importantly, the car is not safe to drive and i need to get it in asap and serviced asap. Single parent of a 1 year old and just can not be without the car. I have left multiple messages with the sales manager to see if there is any help they can offer. I am currently in very bad situation without a reliable car. While the sales experience may be good, the service will not. I would steer clear of any sort of purchase / lease with this dealership. **Update, i have gotten conflicting information and honestly just at a loss and so confused as to why getting warranty work is this hard. Staff was nice, just not what i was sold during the sales process. Definitely not as smooth and does not work how sales will say it does. Also still have not heard back from the sales manager after multiple attempts, when i called back was told they are not allowed to transfer calls they only take messages for call backs for sales. Update ******* 1/20/2026 YO Sergio, called a few times am just being told your out of office and only being offered your voice mail. The service with Hertz went horribly. They did not have ANY GM cars, so my other Costa Mesa Cadillac customer and I had to wait for someone to return a GM car. Hertz said that GM/the dealership will only pay for a rental if it is GM, and if I paid out of pocket for any car other than a GM, I would not be covered. On top of the $50 charge for a pickup , that I declined due to that. The service at your dealership is only getting worse and less and less. Definitely a lost customer here.
