Coughlin GM of Marysville

So my review is years in the making, I wasn’t going to write a review until I was talking to a friend about this incident. I bought a car a few years ago, sadly it got totaled a few months after purchase. I purchased gap insurance on the car, but my primary insurance paid off all but $50. I paid the $50 gap myself and went to cancel the gap insurance. Many ignored phone calls later, I went into the dealer in-person and spoke to the front desk person myself and he was able to cancel the gap insurance and said I’d receive a check in the mail in about 3-8 weeks. Months go by and the salesman contacts me trying to sell me a new car, I bring my issue to his attention. He says “did the gap insurance pay off the car because you don’t get it back if it did” I reply “no, I paid the gap myself”. No response. Years go by, I think at this point, it’s safe to say they stole the money from me. Roughly $800. So buyer beware, they will steal money from you if given the opportunity.

I drive from Dublin to Coughlin Marysville because of the excellent service on my diesel truck, as well as the staff supporting that. Jodi is always so helpful, as well as very knowledgeable. I drop one star because I usually wait for service to be done, and your room for that is like a cave. I wait in the showroom, where there are windows and good lighting. Interestingly, I see ads on tv and they show a beautiful, sunny waiting spot...just know that is not what you will find. I will say that the sales team is always kind and friendly when I am in their space!

We did not buy a car from Coughlin but another dealer in Marysville. We knew there was a code that needed cleared but it's a Chevy hybrid and must have a certified tech to do work on it, something the other dealer did not have. Our salesman spoke with someone at Coughlin and they agreed to clear the code. When we took it in 2 days later to get the code cleared, it was discovered that was not the only code. Coughlin gave us all the codes and advised us to go back to the other dealership and work out them taking care of repairs and a rental car. The other dealership agreed to this. Coughlin worked with us to get the car in as soon as possible and to make sure all repairs were completed. They went out of their way to get us in when it was not their problem to start with. I truly appreciate the certified tech and Robert Goodman for assisting us.

Received excellent customer service and help from salesperson Aaron L. Aaron was the only salesperson from about a dozen different locations/dealers we visited that actually came out of office to greet us in the lot. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful during our car buying experience! Would highly recommend him!

I will never ever bring a car here for repairs again!! I told them what another reputable GM Dealership in Lima Ohio suggested even sent copy of diagnostic test!! They replaced what they wanted not what I told them!! Hence the engine light is back on after 24 hours!! I’m being given the runaround and nobody will speak with me but they will hear from my attorney!! $2600 and they couldn’t replace the pump as I asked
