I purchased a 2017 Acura MDX from Crestwood Auto Auction, and within two weeks, the battery died completely — even though they told me it had been replaced. Testing showed the battery was extremely weak (208 CCA vs 600 CCA rating), which caused key fob errors, flashing lights, and a burning electrical smell in the cabin. I have a 6-week-old baby who had oral surgery yesterday, and when I called the dealership to ask if they could assist or come to me, they refused. I was left trying to manage a potentially dangerous situation with a newborn, far from help. While they eventually agreed to replace the battery, this experience was frustrating, unsafe, and unacceptable. Buyers: do not assume claimed “new” batteries are actually new, and be cautious with electrical systems — your safety matters.
