# Summary The dealership receives mixed feedback, with customers praising individual service technicians but consistently reporting issues with sales practices, service quality, and follow-up communication. Common complaints include misleading pricing displays, failure to resolve recurring vehicle problems, poor phone accessibility, incomplete service work, and unresponsive staff, while a few customers acknowledge specific employees who performed well.
Dropped my Ram off a month ago for a leaking back power window.(a common issue with this Gen Ram that they already replaced once). They replaced the rear 3rd brake light and said that was the issue this time. The next time it rained the back seat was soaked again. Whatever they replaced didnt fix the issue. They also told me the rear power window was no longer covered under warranty even tho there is Stelantis warranty extension on it. I tried to make another appointment but they've switched to an automated scheduling system so you can't even talk to a real person. Ive left at least 3 messages with no return call to try to resolve the issue. I would recommend going elsewhere for service unless these guys are the only option. The picture is after they "fixed "it a couple weeks ago.
Drove all the way up from Chico because as a kid I remember seeing these commercials and as a redding native wanted to give them a shot.. i was wrong to buy here unfortunately. They had a RAM i wanted listed plainly on their site, listing all the discounts and “final price”. It got very uncomfortable in the sales office when we were running the numbers because they wanted to try to sell me the truck for a lot more than what was listed on the website, and I had to pull it up on my phone to show them that this is what they’re offering this truck for. They told me that Stellantis sets the prices and that if they actually sold me the truck for that amount that they would make no money on it. Well… Sorry not sorry. That’s what it is listed for. So after threatening to walk out, they gave me the truck at that price and after a long day at the dealership I drove home. I must say Diane in finance (different from sales manager who did my paperwork at the very end) did a great job and should probably be running the place. My truck just got out of the shop after three months because the steering wheel is coming unglued where the leather is and they had to do an immediate update due to it possibly going to throw a check engine light related to misfires. I had called the sales manager named Donnie to talk about getting an extended warranty or something for the truck and he told me that Annette would call me the next day and she never did. I hope this review helps and deciding where to make your next purchase. I know that I won’t be back if nobody reaches out to me.
Here’s the updated review with the adjusted spelling: I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Crown Motors of Redding, CA. I purchased my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie package from them, and from the start, things were off. After spending an entire afternoon with the salesman, I was eager to leave and didn’t inspect the truck closely—until I noticed a misaligned door. When I brought it up the next day, I was brushed off with “it’s well within RAM specifications.” It looked terrible, and only after threatening to return the vehicle did they finally fix it. Fast forward to 2021, my truck’s radio failed while it was still under warranty. They replaced it at no cost, which was a relief at the time. However, in 2025, the radio failed again—this time affecting the navigation system. I was hit with a $200 diagnostic fee, and my truck sat in their shop all day with no updates. It wasn’t until just before closing that I learned I’d need to shell out nearly $1,000 for a new radio because it was “no longer under warranty.” With less than 30,000 miles on a six-year-old vehicle, I feel this is clearly a recurring manufacturing issue, not my fault. Moreover, Crown Motors should be more actively pursuing their customers’ best interests with RAM, the manufacturer, instead of leaving us to deal with these repeated problems on our own. It’s frustrating to keep facing the same issue after such a poor initial experience, and I expected better customer service and support. I hope they take responsibility for these issues rather than forcing me to repeatedly pay for a faulty product.
Noé in the RAM service department did an excellent job repairing my Ram Truck. It turned out to need a new transmission. Rides smooth now! Already referred my friends!
Only the facts here. Post service experience. Oil change, tire rotation and recall. After the oil change, oil leaked all over my driveway and everywhere I parked, size of a pancake. Didn't leak when i took it in originally (newer truck, low miles). Tires were not rotated properly and not aired to proper capacity. I was told sorry. We have a new guy. New guy kept my wheel lock too. Is there a checklist or supervision for "new guy"? A week after, the cap to my wheels flew off. They did replace it no questions asked. I went back in for the other items as well, after the truck was already there an entire day. They refunded me for the rotation which was nice. Really hard to get anyone on the phone. One service writer for Dodge. No returned calls and no call when vehicle was done so I just showed up and I couldn't get a hold of the service writer to see if it was done. UPDATE: My oil is still leaking a month later. I will not be back to Dodge to have them fix it. Check engine light is also on with 67k miles on my truck. No evidence it's related yet however, I will be able to tell after I take it to a different shop now to have everything fixed.
