# Summary The dealership receives polarized feedback, with some customers praising specific salespeople like Edson for their professionalism, knowledge, and straightforward service, while others report experiencing significant frustration with pricing discrepancies, aggressive sales tactics, and perceived lack of transparency in negotiations. Experiences range from highly positive interactions with smooth purchasing processes to serious complaints involving bait-and-switch pricing, pressure tactics, and concerns about how referral customers were treated.
Terrible experience trying to work with Eli Abdalla and Danny Saad. I came in to look at one of their used vehicles and spoke with Danny about pricing. We ended up negotiating over the phone and we were only a few hundred apart so he said to come in and speak with his manager and he was ready to make a deal. So I showed up with cash in hand ready to purchase the car. After coming in, the manager Eli gave me a price that was much higher than what me and Danny had discussed and he claimed the number Danny came up with did not include fees, even though I explicitly spoke with Danny about the numbers being out the door numbers. Typical bait and switch you see from these scam dealerships. I also discussed with Danny how I’d be registering the car out of state, and he said that was no issue he could even deliver the car to my house in San Francisco, and I could figure out transportation out of state on my own. But when I showed up, Eli said the only way we can make this deal happen is if I get a transportation company to pick up the car direct from the dealership. I said that was fine if we can get to the number me and Danny had discussed but he said he had another customer already approved that was going to pickup the car for a higher price, but he’d be willing to sell me the car on a first come first serve basis. To no ones surprise, the car was still there a few days later and the “approved buyer” Eli mentioned was just another tactic to pressure me into purchasing the car for a higher price than Danny had mentioned, again typical of scam dealerships. Because I wanted to get into a car ASAP, I agreed to pay their full asking price and they said if I could arrange a transport company to pick up the car, I could take it today. I asked to test drive the car while we wait, and they said I needed to pay the car in full before driving it. Once I got the transportation arranged so I could take the car the same day, they said they wouldn’t sell me the car unless they sourced their own transportation and paid them for it. I’ve bought plenty of cars and never had an experience this bad. The bill of lading was arranged and a transport company was arranged to pickup the car and deliver to Oregon, not take delivery in California. However, even after doing that, the dealer refused and said they would only allow their own transportation to take the car.
I'm considering purchasing a new car and stopped into Daly City Mitsubishi to see what my options were. I spoke with Edson and I was very impressed with his sales etiquette. Knowing that I hadn't made any concrete decisions, he did not try to force a sale and still took the time to answer all my questions. He seemed well-apprised of the various models and their unique features, which was helpful in narrowing down my choices. While I haven't yet committed to anything, I will be returning to Edson should I decide to move forward with a purchase.
My review is directed to the Sales Department at Daly City Mitsubishi, specifically Miguel. For several years, I referred numerous clients to your dealership, many of whom ultimately purchased vehicles from you. I consistently sent business your way, expecting that long-term referrals would be acknowledged and valued. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. What I found particularly disappointing was learning from several customers I referred that they were asked not to discuss certain discounts or pricing arrangements with me. That approach was surprising, especially considering I was not a competitor, but someone actively bringing customers to your business. As a result of these experiences, I will no longer be referring clients to Daly City Mitsubishi. Instead, I will be introducing my clients to two different dealerships that have consistently demonstrated transparency, professionalism, and respect toward both customers and referral partners. The difference in customer experience has been clear, and I am more confident directing business to organizations that value long-term relationships. Over the years, I have become very familiar with the sales process and financing structures commonly offered to buyers with limited credit options. Many customers come to your dealership after being declined elsewhere due to credit challenges. Because of this, it is especially important that buyers carefully review all financing terms, warranty products, and the total cost of ownership before signing any agreement. In addition, I strongly encourage buyers to independently review vehicle history reports such as Carfax and verify all details of any used vehicle before purchase, as due diligence is essential in any dealership transaction. I strongly encourage prospective customers to compare financing offers, calculate the total amount they will pay over the life of the loan, and fully understand the actual cost and coverage of any extended warranty being offered. Taking the time to review these details can significantly impact the overall cost of ownership. This review reflects my personal experience and disappointment with how my referrals were handled after years of sending consistent business to the dealership. ********* Update in Response to Dealership Reply ********* Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify several points. My review is not related to my brother's vehicle purchase, nor did I personally attempt to purchase a vehicle from your dealership. It is based on my own experiences after years of referring customers to Daly City Mitsubishi. My disappointment stems from how those referrals were handled. Multiple customers I referred ultimately purchased from Hayward Mitsubishi after initially visiting your dealership. Some told me they were dissatisfied with their experience at Daly City Mitsubishi, and their feedback reinforced my concerns about continuing to refer clients to your dealership. I also do not recall receiving customer referrals from the dealership, despite sending numerous customers your way over the years. Over time, I became uncomfortable referring customers who were taking on significant financial obligations through vehicle purchases and financing arrangements. As a result, I chose to stop recommending the dealership. My review is not retaliation and is not based on any single transaction. Rather, it reflects a pattern of experiences that led me to conclude that I could no longer confidently refer clients to your dealership. As for my brother, he is fully capable of speaking for himself and may choose to post his own review. His experience is separate from mine and should not be used to explain, diminish, or dismiss the concerns raised in my review. My comments regarding financing, warranties, vehicle history reports, and total cost of ownership were intended as general consumer advice applicable to any dealership purchase. My review remains an honest account of my personal experience and observations.
