# Summary The dealership receives strong praise for its sales team's non-pushy approach, efficient processes, and knowledgeable staff who prioritize customer needs over aggressive selling tactics. However, one customer reported a significant service department experience marked by poor communication regarding appointment timelines and lack of proactive updates, contrasting sharply with the positive sales experiences highlighted in other reviews.
I have bought several cars from several dealerships throughout the years, but this dealership was fantastic. Malissa is absolutely AMAZING. She was not pushy or all in your face to make a sale. She listened to me and what I wanted and said "ok, I got you". Was inside maybe 20 minutes to sign for it and was out the door. Will be a repeat customer. Thank you Malissa and Dave Cross Motors. Edited to add: Doug was also fantastic with the final paperwork!
Scheduled ahead of time via the GMC online app. Had an appointment. Arrived early. Also put in the appointment notes that I had no other transportation and would be waiting on site. The person who started my service with me saw I clearly had my small child with me as well. I was scheduled for an oil change/multi-point inspection/and investigating why my rear left turn signal was showing an error. At no point was I informed that checking the turn signal was going to turn into an hours long event due to whatever diagnostics service is required to perform before deciding to replace it. If I had been informed of that up front, I would've declined even attempting to have that looked at and come back another time. After being there over 3 hours with no update, I went back to the service desk to inquire about what was going on and also stating that if it was going to be much longer, I just needed my car back and to leave. It was nearly 4 hours from the time I arrived before I was able to leave. The service person I spoke with acted like I surprised them with the turn signal issue when I arrived. Wrong. I added all of that to the appointment form. If this was a surprise on their end, again, tell me as much. I have used Rob Sight Ford for YEARS and have never had this kind of experience. Not to mention, they read the appointment notes. This was my first time using this service department. Following this, I spoke with my brother in law, who is a service manager at a different GMC dealership, and he informed me that this was piss poor service and to reach out to his location in the future. He told me that they arrange to pick up their customer's vehicle's and leave a loaner while they are being serviced. His location is much further away, but we purchased this vehicle from the Lee's Summit location, which is why we came there. Not to mention it was for our "complimentary first maintenance". I never once saw the service guy that I originally started with again. He conveniently disappeared and left another guy to deal with his mess. I appreciate that person at least attempting to salvage what remained of the service appointment, but it still doesn't change my very poor opinion I now have toward this location. It's just wild to me that no one was prepared for the appointment and what I'd asked to have looked at. It's even more wild to me that no one would say, "Hey, this may take awhile. Are you sure you want to wait for this today?" It would have been a nice courtesy to have been informed of all my options and not having the entire first half of my day wasted.
Honestly, you can’t get any better than Roxy and Adrian, the new car manager. I originally went to go look at a used car. I had unfortunately got in an accident and my SUV was totaled. I was not in a hurry to buy a new car. I didn’t want a car payment, I wanted comfort, I wanted the luxury that I had in my old suv and what I’ve experience with Hendrix Lexus. They BOTH did better. I spend hours on the road and in my car almost daily. I didn’t really need a large SUV again and wanted to make sure that my kids felt safe in a smaller car also. They had one car that really was what I really liked style and safety wise. However, it was more than I wanted to spend since my biggest thing was no car payment. We went to probably fifty, no joke, dealerships, but Roxy sold me on this car! Roxy was so knowledgeable, kind, extremely organized and thorough, understood and knew that we were on time restraints so we can go to as many dealerships as possible, and a short amount of time, we live away from the city, and also have a disabled child, always friendly, and she’s GORGEOUS. She looks like Amanda Seyfried! My husband and I both hate buying new cars and we had just bought him a new truck, but she out of everyone was the one person who wasn’t pushy, honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely wanted to make sure I got what I needed and knew how to use it. I had a budget to stay in and honestly the prices that cars are today if they had not worked as hard as they did, I never thought I would be in a brand new car. I do believe God is good. I prayed a lot about it and then Adrian came along. He genuinely wanted us to have what we wanted and cared. He could tell my husband was irritated over a miscommunication, but Adrian went out of his way to make it right and put us in the car I actually really liked. Black on black is kind of my deal and they only had one. They worked fast, even on a day off, they made sure that they found a way for it to work with all parties. Truthfully, I was so tired at looking at cars and Roxy was just amazing and Adrian really sealed it with his honesty and transparency. I wanted to buy from them, because much like for so many years I loved Hendricks, I got the same if not more effective care by both of them and he held true to his word, there was no BS back-and-forth, and they made it happen! They made what I thought to be impossible possible! They also made my husband happy and after twenty years they are the first car dealership I’ve seen accomplished that. That says a lot. I HIGHLY recommend them both! Truthfully, if it wasn’t for the both of them, I would not have purchased a car from that dealership. Anybody and everyone that I know I will be sending them in that direction! I’ve already had four people who have been looking at the car that I ended up purchasing and have sent them that way. As long as those two are there, those two are the ones that are gonna get our business. They had everything ready in a timely manner faster than what I actually thought possible, and they made the process super easy.
Dave Cross Motors made car buying easy. Not exaggerating. Went in looking around, found a vehicle I liked. No hard sell, no wasted time. Literally negotiated for all of 5 minutes over the phone. Amazing experience, would absolutely recommend! Adrian and Ron were absolutely fantastic to deal with.
We recently purchased a vehicle from Dave Cross Motors and had a great experience. Ron Bloss was our salesperson and was very easy to work with. He listened to what we were looking for, was responsive throughout the process, and never made us feel pressured through the negotiation process. Russell Merten in Finance made the paperwork process quick and painless. He kept everything moving smoothly, and the conversation made the time go by fast. Overall, the buying process was a straightforward, enjoyable buying experience. We’d definitely recommend Dave Cross Motors and appreciate the great service from both Ron and Russell and the entire Team at Dave Cross.
