Customers report persistent issues with deceptive sales practices, including pressure tactics, unclear financing terms, and unnecessary service recommendations that appear designed to maximize profits rather than address actual vehicle problems. Service department experiences are characterized by poor communication, lack of transparency, and technicians who allegedly lack competence, leading reviewers to seek alternative dealerships for both sales and repairs.

I went to decozen because my check engine light was on. The car is under warranty still. They told me I needed a throttle and fuel service, but it didn’t sound right. I called my mechanic and he agreed that this type of service doesn’t need to be done on this new of a car and that shouldn’t be causing the check engine light to go off. He told me to take it to another dealership which I did and it was simply a sensor that needed to be replaced, which was under warranty. If I had listened to Decozen , I would’ve spent $750 on getting this done and it didn’t need to which was obviously an upsell. I’m very disappointed in the service and will never take my car back there or trust them. Another Jeep dealership handled the problem within hours And cost me zero dollars. If this was not under warranty, the job would’ve cost 200.

Dealership tries to push you to spend money on service to the point of even arguing with you. Which I don't know if they think that will change your mind. Technicians don't know what they are doing. Avoid this dealership. Second experience with the dealerships sales and servicing department and with times were awful.

We recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a dealership in Bloomfield, NJ, and the experience has been extremely upsetting. During the financing process, the loan terms were not clearly explained. We were not shown or walked through the full structure of the loan until everything was already completed. After reviewing the paperwork afterward, we realized we are paying significantly more than we understood at the time of signing — nearly double what we expected. Even more concerning, the co-signer was switched to the primary borrower on the loan without clearly informing us. This deal never would of happened if i knew this before everything was complete. Nothing was properly explained during the signing process, and we only fully understood what had been done after the paperwork was finalized. To make matters worse, the vehicle was also not placed in the correct name causing more issues for us. Buying a vehicle is a major financial commitment. We expected transparency and clear communication throughout the process, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing here to carefully review every document and ask detailed questions before signing.

I had such a concerning experience at this dealership. Unethical is an understatement. All the way from the CEO, Michael Cerino to sales staff. We should have known though- they have the worst reviews in all NY and NJ. ** From the beginning, John Bowler was dismissive- telling my husband he would need to put down a $1,000 deposit just to test drive the vehicle and do credit run so they could "give me the numbers." When I expressed surprise, I was told-verbatim-that it was going to "TAKE A LOT OF WORK" which is why the deposit was required. What?!? This made no sense, sounded ludicrous- so we declined. We said we would come back the next day, so they finally agreed to run numbers without the deposit. At that point, Mac in finance who is really Michael Cerino Decozen CEO!! told us we had 24 hours to make a decision and claimed this deadline was imposed by the bank. Again, this made no sense so I later called the bank directly and confirmed this was not true. When I informed Mac that I had spoken to the bank and there was no 24-hour deadline, his demeanor changed completely. He - the Decozen CEO- became visibly angry, and in a raised voice said that it was HIS rule, that our time was up, and that they were giving the car to someone else. This experience felt manipulative, dishonest, unprofessional, cynical almost- from multiple staff members. We dodged a bullet. You should too.

Poor communication in the service department. Had a service scheduled. Got there and was told I had to leave my vehicle because it would take at least 2.5 hours for an oil change. A tech had gone home sick earlier in the day. A simple phone call would have avoided the situation. Left without the vehicle service. Will have to reschedule, probably with a different dealership.
