# Summary The dealership has received polarized feedback, with some customers praising exceptional service recovery and compassionate support, while others report serious concerns including unresolved vehicle issues, poor communication, undelivered refunds, and extended delays in warranty coordination. Common complaints center on lack of accountability when repairs create new problems, difficulty reaching staff, and instances where customers felt dismissed or ignored during their service experiences.
Very disappointed with DeMarois. I brought my vehicle in for routine service only — an oil change. It was never brought in for accident, collision, body, paint, structural, or damage-related repair. The vehicle only had a minor basically unnoticeable cosmetic paint scratch on the fender. A few days after the service visit, a CARFAX “Damage Report” appeared on the vehicle history. Now buyers and dealers are treating the vehicle like it has been in a wreck, which is costing me thousands in resale value. I have reached out to DeMarois asking for the service records, inspection notes, and confirmation of whether anything was submitted through their system or a third-party vendor. They have not properly responded or helped resolve the issue. This is exactly the kind of situation where a dealership should step up, communicate, and help correct a misleading vehicle history report. Instead, I am being ignored while the value of my vehicle is being damaged. I would be very cautious bringing a vehicle here if you care about accurate records and post-service support.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with this Mercedes-Benz service department and their service manager. I brought my van in for repairs and paid over $4,000, expecting the issue to be resolved. Instead, I got the vehicle back with multiple new check engine lights that had never appeared before—and no real explanation. Trying to get answers was a nightmare. They wouldn’t answer phone calls, return messages, or provide any updates during the process. I had to take time off work just to show up in person and get any information at all. Even then, communication was poor and dismissive. To make matters worse, every time I went in, I saw an employee sitting there playing computer games while I was being ignored as a paying customer. I never actually got a clear response about the repairs. They simply handed the van back to me in worse condition than when I brought it in. When I asked what was going on they said the new issues could cost an additional $14,000 or more to fix. I made it clear these problems did not exist prior to their work and expressed that I believed the dealership should take responsibility as the van hasn’t even left their lot yet. Their response was essentially that just because they worked on the vehicle didn’t mean they were accountable for the outcome. At that point, I completely lost trust in their service department. I ended up selling the Sprinter van and purchasing a Ford transit. To make matters worse, I later discovered they reported on the Carfax that recommended repairs were not completed—something that negatively impacted the vehicle’s record and value. This is hands down the worst treatment I’ve ever experienced from a service department. I will never spend another dollar with Mercedes, and I strongly caution others to think twice before trusting this dealership with their vehicle. For my fellow Van owners out there, I recommend switching to ford, they gave me a 4,000$ credit for switching from a sprinter to a transit, the ECU is not safe guarded by proprietary software(you can only get sprinters worked on by the dealer), the parts are cheaper, you can buy parts at AutoZone, and their service department is friendly/timely. You can really tell Mercedes was historically the only high roof van company for a while by the way the corporation has a stranglehold of the consumer from the ECU programming software, parts, and repairs. Thank goodness for other outfits that have now surpassed quality and affordability of the sprinter. Think twice before buying the illusion of a “quality” brand like Mercedes. God bless, hope this helps someone.
The service department went above and beyond to help me with a sour deal on a vehicle I purchased from another dealership. Right from the start my vehicle had problems and the window warranty was not being honored. The service team at DeMarois diagnosed my vehicle and set me up in a luxury loaner car. I felt like I was being treated like a human and not just a sell price. My faith in humanity has been restored and I am truly grateful for the compassion they showed me during a stressful situation. A 5 star rating is so below the quality of employees they have, if there were an option for a 100 star rating that would be the DeMarois service department! ⭐⭐Thank you so much!
Took my car there for a key and service. $480 for a spare key. 😒 $1080.00 for service which was competitive but when I got into the car the check engine light was on. So they gave me a loaner. It was two days before we got the car back. They stated that is was just a sensor that didn't get plugged in. For the troubles they said they would credit us a partial refund but after a month I've seen nothing. Staff was friendly but we will be taking our vehicle elsewhere in the future. I wouldn't recommend.
Long post, but worth the read. Over the past few years, I’ve spent nearly $250,000 on GMC vehicles and have never encountered service as disappointing as what I’ve experienced recently while helping a friend through a frustrating situation. Her vehicle was towed to this dealership and has now been sitting there for over six weeks with no resolution in sight. An extended warranty—purchased through a third party—should cover the necessary repairs, but the dealership is required to retrieve maintenance records and coordinate with the warranty provider. Unfortunately, that process has either not been initiated or has moved at a painfully slow pace. On top of that, the original issue (a malfunctioning heating system) wasn’t even listed as something to be addressed. To make matters worse, my friend, like many people, depends on a functioning vehicle for work and family responsibilities. The loaner vehicle she was given? It was returned in poor condition—dirty, full of trash, and clearly not inspected or cleaned before being handed off to the next customer. When questioned about it, the response was a simple, “Sorry, we’ll do better next time.” Now, two months have passed, and there’s still no progress. Every step of the warranty and repair process has required multiple phone calls just to get basic follow-up. This experience is exactly why I will never purchase from this dealership again. When you invest tens of thousands of dollars into a vehicle, you expect high-quality service—not neglect, delay, and poor customer care. Lastly, and importantly: being a woman should not result in dismissive or condescending treatment. My friend has been treated poorly throughout this entire process, and that kind of behavior is unacceptable. Do better. Customers deserve better.
