Derrow Chevrolet

I have mixed feelings about this dealership. The salesperson I worked with, Jess, was wonderful. She was transparent, responsive, kind, and easy to work with. I truly felt she was on my team and genuinely invested in helping me get the car I wanted. The other staff members at the dealership were also very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, my experience with the business manager, Jeremiah, was quite different. I had concerns about the vehicle’s pricing, as I had seen several listings for the same vehicle with similar mileage and options for significantly less. Jeremiah was unwilling to negotiate or discuss the pricing in any way. He was disrespectful and difficult to work with, and his behavior felt unprofessional. When I expressed discomfort with the price but still had additional questions, he mocked me and said, “If you don’t like the price we offered, then why do you want to know more?” His attitude made me feel as though he was playing games and taking advantage of the fact that I really liked the vehicle and could not find it at another local dealership. Because of my experience with Jeremiah, if I had been able to purchase the car from another dealership, I would have done so. While I am very happy with my car, my overall experience at Chevrolet of Ottawa was negatively impacted by having to deal with him. I would advise others considering this dealership to do their research and make sure they are receiving a fair price.

Don’t let the older reviews fool you. I just had the best car-buying experience of my life at Derrow Chevrolet. From my first call with a question about a vehicle to walking out with the keys, the whole team was great. Mark in sales was easy to work with and never pushy. The finance department was quick and straightforward. Start to finish, I was only at the dealership about an hour and 45 minutes and that even includes our test drive. I drove away in a fantastic new-to-me vehicle at a great price, with payments lower than I expected. I highly recommend working with the team at Derrow.

My wife and I purchased a used fleet f150 from the Derrow sales team last October. We accomplished this through email , phone and texting. We live in southern Illinois. Everything went smooth and had it delivered. Yes it was a used fleet vehicle, so once it arrived ; I preformed all the service tasks up to and including 100000 mile check up. Could not be more happier with the truck.

Brandon (Sales Person), Jeremiah (Business Manager), Aaron (Service) were helpful, friendly and efficient. This was my first new truck in 13 years and my first ever Chevy and I was very happy with the experience. Edit: They calculated my taxes wrong and had to cut a check while on vacation. Not super happy they did the math wrong. Now tags are expired and waiting on memorandum title. Also, when I leave vm I was told they did not get them. I'll stay at 4 stars if this get resolved soon but my early satisfaction is starting to wane. Got a call from salesman stating the person responsible was not in but would be in today and call me first thing....1:28 pm no call. I call and talk to title department. I was told they had been waiting on taxes and had not been to courthouse yet to file. I explained how my temp tags are expired. She stated they would go to courthouse today. I asked if this was normal and do they only go once every 45 days (the length of temp tags in Ohio) because it seemed odd to let all your customers temp tags expire and she said no they had been waiting on taxes. When asked when to expect it basically got the feeling "when it gets there". No offer to get a new temp tag or get me a manager to talk to...not very helpful. So I have a new truck with expired tags. I know folks drive on them and after recently retiring as a Police Sgt, I gave folks breaks but it was never guaranteed. And I'm guessing they would pay the ticket if I get one.

I recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership at full sticker price. While I expected a premium experience and a road-ready vehicle for that investment, what I received was a blatant disregard for basic vehicle maintenance Also didn’t agree to a full tank of gas Upon taking delivery and checking the vitals, I discovered the engine was running on roughly a quarter of the required oil level. Delivering a car with critically low oil is not just a "missed detail” * *I am extremely disappointed in the lack of quality control. I strongly advise any potential buyers to check their fluids and mechanicals thoroughly before signing, as this dealership clearly does not perform the due diligence they charge you for.
