I purchased a 2018 Honda Accord in late September of last year, and it’s been a journey. I live in Louisville and after a lot of looking around and test driving various cars, I ended up at Don Franklin. I test drove this vehicle. All seemed ok except I could hear brake contact with the rotors, and thought they could be possibly warped. I asked the salesperson about it, and they had their manager test drive it who said it was just “brake dust” from sitting around for some time, and I took them for their word. I went through with the purchase and had it delivered to me in Louisville. The day it was delivered I noticed the AC wasn’t cooling at all. I mentioned this and the fact that the brakes were pulsating to the sales person again. There was back and forth for about a week (I was having trouble even getting ahold of the salesperson) before they agreed to replace the rear brakes only. The car had no warranty, and I hadn’t tested the AC on my original test drive (which is on me). I had to drive it down and leave it for a few days (inconvenient because it’s around a 2 hour round trip, but not the end of the world). My initial hunch was correct. The rotors were extremely warped, as I was told by one of the technicians. I picked to the car and after about a month the pulsing came back. I have taken it to my repair shop now twice. They just replaced the rear brakes AND rotors, which had failed after 4 MONTHS, due to incorrect installation and substandard parts, and slew of other issues have cropped up: tie rod, cv joint, ABS control module failure. I’m in now about $7k deep. I haven’t even addressed the AC yet. I probably could have avoided all of this by having a certified mechanic come down and do a full inspection, but honestly I thought purchasing from a supposedly reputable dealership, that they would have done and inspection of their own and I could trust their word that it was in good shape. Extremely disappointed and would never purchase from them again,

Overall excellent experience! Devin Boone sold me my truck and was excellent to work with. He went the extra mile to remove the fender flares off the truck I bought himself. He also setup a complimentary buff job on the truck. He was a joy to work with and made the truck purchase 100% stress free with no pressure. I would recommend him and Don Franklin to anyone anytime. I had a problem with my Buick Encore. The Louisville dealership wanted to keep the car for two days BEFORE they could get to it to diagnose problem. I called Don Franklin, spoke with Jen V. She got me in the next day. When I arrived they diagnosed within 30 minutes, had the part in stock, and installed in little over one hour. Very reasonable prices, much less than dealership in Louisville. Spectacular workmanship, service and prices. I will happily drive 30 minutes from my home to DON FRANKLIN, Thank you Jen V!
