Dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT

I normally try not to rock the boat but I am having trouble keeping this to myself anymore. I bought this 2019 Chevy Equinox from Dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on October 24, 2025. When I test drove it, everything seemed to run fine. I should have known it was too good to be true since I was able to get it without any money down and a halfway decent payment. I made my first payment on November 20, 2025 and it was due on the 24th. Well on November 22, 2025 everything went wrong . I was on the way home from my nieces birthday party when I was almost home and the car started running sluggish and saying reduced engine power. I was lucky to make it to the house because the power steering system stopped working and the brakes stopped working as I pulled up to my house. I had to slam on the brakes to get the car to stop. Once I put it in park it was done. It wouldn’t start again. I would try to start it and it just kept trying to crank. Well my brother hooked his machine up to it and it said to change the position sensors so I changed them. Well it fixed one problem but the other code did not go away. The car has been sitting in that same spot since November 22nd because it has something wrong with the timing which is a very entensive repair. I called the dealership and asked them if there was anything that can be done because I have had it less than 30 days and they weren’t willing to do anything because it was bought as is. Now you could tell they didn’t even open the hood before they put it on the lot because there were webs all over the engine. No return policy or anything which is ridiculous because I didn’t even have it a FULL 30 days. So now I am stuck with a very expensive paperweight because it costs too much to fix right now. It still doesn’t sit right with me having to pay for a car I can’t drive. I wasn’t even offered any sort of extended warranty. If I had been, I would have accepted it. Even with used cars, most dealers will have at least a 1500 mile power train warranty but not them Moral of the story whatever you do, don’t trust Dothan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram because you may end up like me and have a car you can’t even drive. I currently have a very expensive paperweight.

Will was not just a knowledgeable salesperson, but so very patient and kind with all the questions and concerns we had about each model and all the details. He helped set everything up in the Jeep to give us a head start with learning the in's and out's. Here we are a couple weeks later and Will has checked in several times to make sure we are still happy with the Jeep and make sure we didn't have any additional questions, etc. Seriously an AMAZING experience!! I had to take my 2019 Dodge Charger in for an airbag recall and upon arrival they said it would take 4 hrs or longer. The tech that did the work finished the job in 3 hrs. Great work on the tech that the job.
