# Summary The dealership receives strong praise from satisfied customers who highlight exceptional sales representatives and smooth purchasing experiences, with multiple reviewers emphasizing personalized attention and successful trade-in transactions. However, negative reviews describe serious issues with service department responsiveness, warranty coverage disputes, and inadequate handling of vehicle damage claims, with customers reporting months of unresolved problems and poor communication.
I had a fantastic experience at Douglas Jeep Chrysler and Ram in Venice, Florida. Jason was my sales representative, and he went above and beyond to help me find the perfect vehicle. I was upside down on my trade, but he still managed to get me into a great car and lower my monthly payment by $200. Jason was patient, knowledgeable, and truly listened to what I needed. The entire process was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. I highly recommend Jason and the whole team at Douglas Jeep Chrysler Ram if you’re looking for a dealership that genuinely cares about helping you. Thank you for an exceptional experience!
April 6!!!! Yesterday, we took our 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn truck in for a trade-in, and we drove away with the exact same model—but a 2026, with 0 miles! Ani is the absolute best new car salesperson. She is fantastic; even while attending to other customers, she took care of my husband and me, and within about two and a half hours, we were driving off in our new vehicle. This is the second time we’ve made a purchase with them, and both experiences were incredible! Please don't hesitate to ask for Ani to assist you! We love you, Ani, and thank you so much for the immense happiness you’ve brought us! Litzy, Bryan and Baby Alexander!!!!
Had the pleasure to have Caden as my Sales associate! Did everything by text/phone, explained what I wanted, Caden went above & beyond to ensure I was happy and comfortable in my new Jeep! The whole process was extremely easy and fast! Highly recommend Caden and the Douglass family to anyone looking for a New/used vehicle. Thank you for outstanding service!
I dropped my truck off on 01-06-26. I received a phone call the next morning to tell me the tech that was working on my truck hit a wall. I got my truck back on 01-27-26. Only to find out they damaged my dash, driver seat back and rear panel behind back seat. They told me they would order parts and take care of it. After no word from them a month later I brought them an estimate. They got combative with me saying “ they ain’t paying another dealers markups “ so they bought it back in . They fixed the interior panels but not the body damage from hitting the wall and now they are ghosting me. They told me that the documentation on work they did would be emailed to me and it has not been received . Can’t get a return phone call or email. 6 months later my truck is still damaged. Next step will be small claims court.
If I could give negative stars I would. What an ordeal. We purchased our Ram 1500 etorque hemi engine (yes I’ve read the nightmares currently related to these hybrid engines and the lack of support from RAM global as a whole) from the Douglas Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram dealership in Venice thinking to stay local and help our community grow. With this in mind, we also purchased the service plan and all the other garbage warranties they put under our noses. Yes, stupid move but done in good faith. After a few months and several issues already like a promised trunk cover for our troubles that the salesman NEVER actually delivered, the ceramic coating appointment where they wanted me to sit or figure out how to get home with a small child then after I argued with them their “loaner” was a dangerous old jalopy of a two seater which a small child should never have been in ( yes I made a stink then to no avail), a ding in the rear door that incredibly wasn’t covered under the body warranty purchased hahaha (had to pay out of pocket), the tire replacement warranty that was never reimbursed, a dead battery after 3 years that also wasn’t covered, a filter change that strangely wasn’t covered under the service contract purchased for $1400…on and on. The truck decided to die on Monday 10/20/2025 and when we called the dealer to ask for a tow to them since we have every contract and warranty under the sun…they don’t tow so the words were once you basically once you figure out how to get your dead vehicle to us we will take a look. I called Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday as each day we had AAA come out to try to tow us but since the truck was first hooked up to a trailer (it’s our work vehicle) we couldn’t initially unhook it to get it towed. Then the issue was it was stuck with the emergency brake on because THE TRUCK IS ELECTRIC and if it can’t start there’s apparently no manual way to turn the feature off unless you get under the truck but you can’t get under it if it can’t move. Blink blink blink. Deep breath. The truck is parked on our driveway which is pavers so to drag the damn thing onto a flatbed (because apparently NO tow trucks in the vicinity had dollies to move the hunk of junk. Sighhhhh finally found an able minded tow truck driver who literally had the thing dragged onto his flatbed. YES!!!!! We get it to the dealer Thursday morning 10/23/2025 (now they’ve known about this issue since Monday and I called DAILY) and say they will give us a call that afternoon. Tick tock tick tock no call. So we call and we get no response. Friday we show up and the thing is exactly in the same spot the tow truck left it. They haven’t even gotten a diagnosis (which a previous tow driver got us in under 10 min while it was on our driveway) he said it’s a fuse. Well when we ask for the service manager because this is really not a hat we were expecting in terms of customer service, the service manager tells us with a smile they aren’t going to move someone who has an appointment for us and we are more than welcome to have it towed to Sarasota if we want. Yep, very very professional. So we bit our tongues and proceeded at their mercy because this is our work vehicle (independent contractor) and it’s now been a full week with zero income. The dealership said they will contact the CNA warranty specialist to notify and ascertain coverage for whatever the issue might be. They also told us although we see the truck in the same spot they’ve apparently spent 3 HOURS trying to diagnose the issue - yes all very strange - but now labor cost is accumulating. How convenient. But don’t worry on MONDAY they will take a look at it because the tech who handles this doesn’t work weekends. Okee dokee. To be continued in pics
