Ed Martin Buick GMC of Anderson

I left a review based on my purchase experience, which was completely positive. I've only had my Hummer EV two weeks though, and it has been smelling hot in the garage when I get home. I checked the coolant tank, and it was completely empty. There is no coolant smell in my garage, nor have there been any puddles or any reason to believe it had a coolant leak; so it is reasonable to assume it came to me this way. It is currently sitting a my local GMC dealership with a potential battery failure. This is a used vehicle that is thankfully under warranty, but I'm currently being told it is likely I will be without it for several weeks. One of the reasons I purchased this vehicle from this dealership was that it was a local one-owner truck that was bought and serviced at this dealership since new. They said they perform some 1xx multipoint inspection on all used vehicles and that there were no issues with it. How on earth in a comprehensive multipoint vehicle inspection does a tech not notice a vehicle is completely out of coolant!?!?!?! I'm not talking about a subtle problem; this is the most basic thing they should be checking. I'm not faulting the sales staff, because they are trusting their service team. So I'm frustrated, but it's not so much on the purchasing side. With what I'm experiencing though, I would NEVER consider taking a vehicle here for service.

William was a great guy to work with. He got back to me fast, listened to my situation and what I wanted, and took the time with us to get what we needed. We never felt rushed and he made sure my wife understood the tech on her car and showed her the service center and introduced us to the crew there so she didn’t feel uncomfortable if she ever needed them.

I have had several cars in my lifetime. The best car I had was the Volvo but it is not in my budget price for a car. I called Nate Renz, who I knew somewhat, but that was years ago. I know his mother so I texted her to get Nate's phone number because I did not know what division of Ed Martin that he worked at. I texted him and told him I was interested in an Equinox because several of my friends and my daughter at one time owned an Equinox. He asked me what I was looking for in a car. I told him what I was looking for and he told me that I might look at the GMC Terrain also, because it was like the Equinox but a little nicer. I did my own homework checking on both of them side by side and I decided the Terrain was more of what I wanted. Of all the salesman I have ever dealt through the years, Nate was the best. He was very thorough and took the time to sit in the Terrain with my daughter and I and explained everything in the car. I was very impressed.
