Elizabeth City GMC

I called around to all the local to me Chevy/GMC dealers in my area. From Va. Beach to Hampton. I was looking for a quote to get my transmission replaced due to the GM shudder that happens. Its been well over a month and still have yet to hear back from any of them. On a whim I called Elizabeth City GMC and actually got to talk to someone that was not AI. I was put on the phone with Dan in parts. I asked for a quote for a transmission for my truck. Dan informed be that GM has just released a new part number for the transmission for my truck and told me the price. He also let me know all the other parts that I would need to replace said transmission. I asked if I could talk to someone in service and Dan connected me to Ms. Patty. She was a delight! She gave me a quote for the labor to replace the transmission along with letting me know the warranty that would be on it. I decided to go ahead and have yall replace the transmission for me. I drove down to pay for the transmission so it could get ordered. Dan helped me out and said that since I was having yall replace it I wouldn't have to pay the $5000.00 core charge. The following week I got a call letting me know that my transmission was coming and set an appointment for the following Thurs. I dropped my truck off Wed. night and got a call on Friday afternoon letting me know it was finished. It was 2 days to get a transmission replaced!! Locally to me its 2-3 weeks to just try and get an oil change. I begged one lady to connect me to a service advisor and got told she would leave a message. It wasn't like I was only spending $200.00, I spent $10,000.00 total getting the repair done. I cant thank you guys enough for getting my truck in and fixing it as fast as yall did! I will be back. Even with the hour drive to get there. Thank you!!

I needed a heavy duty truck for work and Elizabeth City GMC had what I was looking for. My salesman Kyle Hungerford was top notch, very professional and honest. The rest of the sales team Barry Callahan (sales manager) and Richard Norman (finance manager) were also very professional and knowledgeable and listened to me and my concerns. I did purchase a new 2026 Sierra 2500 HD and could not be more pleased. If you are in the market for a new or pre owned vehicle I highly recommend Elizabeth City GMC. You will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed my experience with one minor complaint, I wish I had dealt with a salesman that was actually a fulltime employee instead of a guy from a hired hit squad that comes in for a short time in hopes of elevating sales. I prefer to work with someone that I can go back to that that works there daily that would remember our conversations in case there was issues. I like a more personal touch the way Mr. Biggs did things in the past in a more neighborly way and not feeling rushed or pressured. Overall, everyone was nice a respectful I just don't like the idea of bringing in a hit squad to do a job that you have already hired folks from our local community to do, thus taking food off their table in an attempt to boost sales. That's not how you take care of your people, that's cutting their legs out from under them.

I have been a long time customer of the service department. MS Jackson my service advisor always takes care of my needs without pressuring me to add on services. I do however trust her to get the maintenance that is recommended. They are always prompt and courteous. My recent service I suspected an issue with my trailer wiring.
