Elk Grove Volkswagen

This is not Richard. He's much more patient and accommodating than I am. With more than 30 years of customer service I was disappointed with a specific individual in the service team. I'm posting this to give Volkswagen service center a training opportunity. When we received the call with the quote he specifically declined the spark plugs but the person stated quote again with spark plugs even though hubby said they were just replaced. He repeated himself and so did staff member with same quote again stating with spark plugs. I called back maybe 10 minutes later and asked to speak to him to repeat the conversation. I explained to front desk individual everything again and asked that she relay the message and have him call me back with correct quote. He states he called but text I received was from a different # , no message. Text etiquette... all CAPS IS YELLING. Everyone is busy so please work on your customer service and I'll make sure to ask for a different individual when I have to go back. Alicia Escobedo

I have been coming here since 2010/11 with my previous Jetta and now been coming here since 2022 with my Tiguan. I have ALWAYS had the best service here….. until today 5/27/26. Staff member Miguel R, rude AH. Attitude, sitting at his desk with his phone never to look up to customers walking thru the doors and waiting. 2 people were waiting before me and got helped by another man who came in from outside. I still standing there, Miguel still on his phone with the volume up. Paying no attention while at work. Then a woman spoke to me asking what I am here for. Made an online appointment that they didn’t have on schedule. Staff Kaitlyn stated Miguel will help you. The man not listening to his name being called twice by her. Still on his phone. Then I asked him if he was on a break. He said no and I walked over to his desk. He was bothered from the start. He was short with answers as I had questions about the 100,000 mile services and costs. He asked about spark plugs and I said I already did those and then he got all high and mighty making statements of which brand I used and that I shouldn’t because blah blah blah the same crap dealerships say about using only their parts. He asked about a tire rotation and I said I don’t need it then he said the breaks wouldn’t be checked if they can’t charge me 25$ to take the tires off to inspect the breaks. I asked if the break inspection is part of the oil change service I am getting and he said yes. I asked him why would I be charged if it’s part of the service. He did not want to answers questions and his facial expressions told me all I needed to know in that moment. When Miguel was called out by me for his attitude he got up and got his manager because he didn’t want to help me anymore. Jim the manager was nice and stated he “would address Miguel” and I was passed back to Kaitlyn to complete the paperwork and service. Miguel goes back to his desk and gets back on his phone. SMH this will be my last time coming for service here. I hope Miguel R gets a write up and cameras are checked to see how much time he spends ignoring and not wanting to work with customers cause he is on his phone watching videos.

I recently bought my first car from Elk Grove Volkswagen, and the experience was honestly amazing. From start to finish, the whole process was smooth and stress-free. They stayed true to their word and honored everything they promised, which I really respect. Gian especially was perfect throughout the entire deal. He was patient, transparent, and made sure I understood every detail. They were upfront about the car’s condition, went over all the checkpoints, and explained everything clearly without trying to hide anything or push unnecessary stuff on me. As a first-time buyer, I really appreciated how comfortable and confident they made me feel. No pressure, no games — just honest and professional service. Hats off to Gian and the whole team. Highly recommend them if you’re looking to buy a car!

I have mixed reviews about Elk Grove Volkswagen. The service department is great. They’ve always taken care of everything I needed when I came in so my last trip I came in to get an extended warranty on my 2021 ID 4, and someone from The sales department suggested instead of extending a warranty, which cost the same as a down payment on a new ID4 was to get a lease. I’ve never had a lease. I wouldn’t do a lease cause you’re limited on the driving because if you plan on returning the car, you can’t go over 36,000 miles. However a few months later upon me doing my taxes, I found out that these guys got me for the $7500 tax rebate and when I came back in this, to discuss it with them, they told me lie after lie after lying finally, they just said they took it as a rebate so they get a big F I will never buy anything from Elk Grove Volkswagen and I can’t wait for this lease to be up to dump this car off.
